Why was Steelers loss good for the Patriots?

You had me at, the Steelers losing is a good thing.

I thought Steelers losing was always a good thing

Wow Bedard is really stupid!
The Tits match up well with the Chiefs if Henry is healthy. They’ve already beaten KC earlier this year. They won’t beat Baltimore, though.

He thinks Tennessee is going to best Kansas City and Baltimore.

The Titans have a better chance to upset them than the Steelers do at least. The Titans have the kind of D that can slow teams down and make games messy and close along with an offense that while they plan to minimize mistakes offers a high risk high reward option more than the Steelers IMO. IF they decide to stop being so conservative and role the dice they have a chance to upset a good team.

The Titans played 4 playoff teams. They went 1-3 beating only KC and losing to the Buff, NO and Hou but they were very much in all 4 games. Just FYI All 4 games oddly enough were at home but the Titans are built to travel well.

The Steelers have played 5 playoff teams. They went 0-5. Pats, Buf, Sea, SF and Balt. While all the games but the Pats were a 1 score game they didn't manage to close a single team, they came close though for what that's worth.

Personally If either team gets in the position to take a shot at Batimore I'd rather it be the Titans. The Steelers give me no confidence they can manage the last 5 and especially the last 2 minutes vs a good team. Not that the Titans give me much either.

Tennessee beating KC means we either get Houston or Buffalo in the divisional round. Rather than KC. Advantage for Pats. In otherwords, the road is much easier facing Buffalo or Houston then playing Baltimore. Rather than facing KC then Baltimore.

I'm not suggesting Houston or Buffalo would be pushovers. But it's easier than the alternative is all I'm saying.

I’m not impressed by the titans or the Steelers.

Don't sleep on Oakland in that #6 spot.

On a more serious note, I attended the Oak/Tenn game a few weeks back and couldn't help but notice how huge of a human being Henry is in person. He looks like a guy who could go off on any team at any time, ruining someone's postseason. Could he and his teammates do it two weeks in a row vs. KC and Balt? Doubtful, but I said the same thing about Jacksonville in '96. Strange things sometimes happen.

Side note to that Oak/Tenn game: Dion Lewis looks like a midget in person when he spells a guy as big as Henry. The contrast couldn't be more stark.

Regards,
Chris

If the titans get in the playoffs, knocking off kc is going to be difficult.

but if the titans o line can give Henry some room, they could do it.

the titans defense has to have their best game if the year.
