Why I'm rooting for Cincinnati

re: Why I'm rooting for Cincinnati

Being a Denver fan I just hope whatever happens we don't have to face the Pats. U guys have that look.

As much as I want to agree, you guys would probably want to play us without Dobson.

Last time I rooted for an opponent to meet us in the next game was the NY Giants ...

That did not go so well ... I root no more for any opponent.

This board — and I include myself — was pretty ecstatic when Baltimore ripped the heart out of Manning and the Broncos last year.

And that didnt work out very well either did it?

Andy Dalton should be wearing #18

You really have a Peyton Manning complex. First of all, he has a ring, so how is it that he has never played "Championship Football"? Second, as any Pats fan knows, the guy was freaking terrifying in that dome, bringing them back from 18 down in the AFCCG, from 21 down in 2003 (before ultimately falling a yard short thanks to Ted Washington and Willie McGinest), and from 13 down with 4 minutes left in 2009 (the Kevin Faulk game). BB was so scared of PM that he took chances against the Colts that he NEVER would have against any other team (including the 4th and 2). Manning has certainly played some bad football in the playoffs, but let's not pretend he didn't lead some large comebacks in that dome or that the Colts "wilted" whenever they got behind.
There seems to be alot of people on here with a Peyton Manning complex. U think they would be more pissed at Eli then Peyton.

Fair enough......I'm eating major crow today. I thought SD was a joke yet they proved otherwise. Beating Cincy in Cincy is no small feat..........

Despite the large helping of crow, I'm happy with the results. SD has already beaten Denver and I believe Indy is, IMHO, our better matchup.

Foot injury right? Is he out for the season?

Foot. He limped off in Buffalo after reaggravating it. Still on the roster, but probably unlikely to be much of a factor.

I think it was reasonable to assume that CIN finally would've won a game at home, and I was on board with thinking that CIN would win today too.

I still would have rather played CIN myself, but none of the teams were going to be easy, so it is what it is.

Congratulations to Indianapolis for winning a game I believe they would of lost w/ Peyton Manning. Down 28, the Colts of old would of wilted beneath the pressure and spent the game sulking on the sidelines.

Luck played Championship football. Indy fans, having never actually seen that before, are still in a state of complete bewilderment.

After that comeback, send Indy to go give Denver their one-and-done. They can do it. All the experts will be wrong.

That's a narrative I want to see, especially coming on the year of Indy's owner's twitter account.

Let the media feast on that. My money is on Luck.
Championship football > October stat-compiling.

Will be hilarious irony. Hilarious, glorious, legacy-killing irony.

I'm officially all in on Cinci. Bring Cinci here and we'll watch the most glorious one-and-done in the history of the AFC at Mile High Stadium.

opcorn:

I get that you guys are obsessed with Manning and all, but you think manning would have "wilted"?

Somebody have a video tape of the 2006 AFC championship game handy?

Manning has brought his teams back from huge deficits quite a few times, including two classics against NE.

But by all means continue to hate away.
