Why haven't Drake's fundamentals been fixed?

No, what I meant is exactly what I said. It’s not about hard work, but more about trusting the coaches and not being too proud to ask for help. Not so easy for a young guy.

Which again makes it sound like he’s not doing that, when there is absolutely no indication that’s the case.

What proof (not speculation) do you have that BB did not want Mac Jones?????
there's a lot written about Belichick wanted to pass and pick a QB in the 2nd. Mills? Just use google.

In the end, Bill did accept the advice of staff and scouts.

To be clear, it was Bill's decision to draft Jones.

Yes the Mac Jones pick was 100% his responsibility!

I expect much disagreement with this statement: Considering the Flustercluck that was last years team, I consider this to be Maye's Rookie Season.

Too funny. If Bill was this awesome QB guru then why couldn’t he develop any other QB?

My favorite BB tidbit is that he was so annoyed with Mac Jones that he stopped talking to him. Uhhhh What

He never wanted Mac, the collaboration did. Go back to the Alabama pro day, Mac threw a pass and you could see the disgust on Bill’s face.

He also wanted to trade Mac entering year two and roll with Zappe and Grier, he was overruled by the Collaboration.

My favorite F you moment was the international game in 2023 after Mac had already been benched 3 times and Bill kept him in the game against the Colts even as he was melting down again like an ice cream cone in the desert. You could see Bill smirking as Mac wilted and they showed the Krafts in the owners box.

The moment Bill was gone the collaboration got rid of Mac like a hot potato. They didn’t want to admit Bill was correct, but actions speak louder than words.

Not from me. Definitely a lost season for him.

Yes that gif is exactly what Bill is as a coach sans Brady. No argument here.
When god was handing out brains you got a pot roast instead.

Bill was the preeminent defensive mind of his generation, which helped Tom learn how defenses work.

You’re a fanboy cheerleader, there’s no talking to you.

Matt Cassel and Garoppolo played well for Belichick. Cam was toast. Mac Jones was doing fine until Bill brought Matt Patricia along.

Bill wasn’t an “awesome guru”, I agree but his track record with QBs was pretty good until he went crazy old man.

Straw man. No one here is wondering why he isn't Tom Brady.
Then you don't read the posts here. The expectations on this kid are ridiculous. You have idiots on here posting that we should move on and find a new QB. A couple morons have concocted trade scenarios.

With UNC’s win today, if you want to call it that - Bill is now .430 post Brady. Yay for Bill. Amazing. #TomMadeBill

Mac Jones was also supposed to be a high floor pro ready QB coming into the league. Guys like that usually have a good foundation already and are capable of executing what the coach wants.

Anyway Jones showed he was exactly what the scouts said he was and that was adequate enough - yes until the so called genius HC of ours hired a DC as our offensive coordinator.

I wonder if that’s overstated a little. Cassel was a good backup QB but was he anything more? Eh. Obviously the team suffered bigtime that year with the downgrade at QB. Does a HC really deserve credit for developing a backup?

Jimmy played not even 6 quarters of meaningful football before he got hurt and then sent packing. I’d say Shanahan ought to get just as much credit for him and maybe more over Bill imo.

Forgive them for they know not what they do.

Maye has been on a team with totally different coaches each season and the worst roster in the league. And I'm not sure that the ownership isn't a problem too.

The kid will be lucky if he can turn things around in 2 or 3 years.

Turn things around? He amassed the 6th most passing yards in week one, on 65% completions with an 80.6 QB Rating.

He wasn’t amazing, but he’s also not in a free fall like Bryce Young or Mac Jones in year two.

To me that demonstrated that Belichick was letting his feelings get in the way of his job. Anytime you are in charge of running a business you need to be able to communicate with everyone under you. If you can’t or won’t then they shouldn’t be an active part of the endeavor. Giving them “ the silent treatment” is childish.
