Brady is already making 1/2 the league average for a player of his caliber, I wouldn't even ask him if it was up to me.Can Brady help us here again? How much will he be making next year?

I may be mistaken, but I believe Brady is making like 12 mil a year, while forehead and Brees are close to 20 mil per year.Huh?
why?brady's an idiot for taking so much less.

maybe kraft's paying him off on the side.
It seems like he wants to keep playing based on his comments.
From what I heard. Maybe someone can confirm. Brady cannot restructure because there is a rule on the amount of restructures in a certain time frame. Pats and Brady are maxed out.Can Brady help us here again? How much will he be making next year?
If you cut them with 6/1 designations it is north of $7.5M this year. What do you save by cutting them? Ain't nowhere near $10 million.
You save $4.5M cutting Amendola with a 6/1 designation and $3M cutting Arrington with a 6/1 designation according to overthecap.com.Cutting Amendola saves $1.6M, and Arrington only saves $865k ($1.6M if his cap hit is spread over 2 years as a post-June 1 cut).
While I agree that neither's performance justifies their cap hit, unfortunately most of that is sunk cost. In Amendola's case, you could save a bit of money by cutting him, but then you'd have to start talking about replacing him. It would take more than $1.6M in new cap money to get a replacement that's at all close to him in ability, and that's without regard for chemistry/experience in the offense.
OTOH, in Arrington there just isn't much money to be saved. I think his real worth is a bit more than the Pats would get back by cutting him. He's definitely not worth $4.6M, but most of that money is sunk cost anyway.
Re: Wilfork, I'm still hoping that he'll just agree to take a 66%-ish paycut, but realistically I don't see that happening so I assume he'll be cut.
Yeah I am afraid the end is near for Vince unless he will negotiate way down. I expect if he does sign, then there will be a lot of weight incentives. Vince will have to tighten his budget and waistline considerably.
If the Patriots make a wrong move ...
We'll be hearing from Bianca before we hear it from Schefter ... bet on it.
Due to his status on the team I do not expect Bill to play rough with Wilfork.

I am willing to bet that the team is thinking along the same lines as you. This draft is deep at defensive tackle. I rather draft two tackles and let him walk if he doesnt restructure.
So was Bledsoe. BB calls the shots on personnel and Kraft helps/signs off on the big ticket items. He is also a personal favorite of Mr. Kraft..so there are other forces at work.
People are not talking about this enough. Two more big ticket items that'll net at least $30-$45m in guarantees each.Next year Hightower and Jones will be FA.
