The thing is Culpepper was able to run around in the backfield and was so big, he could avoid the sack to allow Moss to run down field. Cassel isn't nearly as mobile or big and he doesn't have Brady's instincts (at least not yet) to step up in the pocket at the right time. Unless the o-line improves quite a bit, Cassel would get sacked and pressured too much to do this.

then keep faulk back there...and have a 4 wide set...with 3 guys on one side, Moss on the other

or two backs to protect, and 3 wr's...w/ moss by himself...

most number of db's covering moss at once would be 2...and i think moss can get the ball off of 2 db's...

I do think we need to huck a few bombs up to Moss a game that we stretch the field a little. It also has the added bonus of a potential pass interference. But by no means should we get all Cullpepper and just try to do it every play. Supposedly are defense is to good for that kind of risk. Cullpepper had to do it as the offense was the only way that team would win.

i mean seriously...Moss is that good, so just do it...

all cassel has to do is wait for moss to get 40 yds down the field, turn around, and then have cassel throw it close to moss...

i think Moss would be completely and utterly capable of jumping up and catching the damn ball over ANY defender in this league if he positions himself right...

at the very least hell smack it down for an incompletion...

its the NFL, but not everything has to be rocket science...a little simplicity sometimes goes a long way...

i think this play would be unstopable...at least until opposing teams start bringing 3 db's to cover moss...which opens up the game....

Thats the worst idea ever.
