Why does everyone think getting to the SB is easier now?

it's not about Jax

let's not take the Jags for granted. They are a good team.

But, I think playing them on a Jan night at the Razor gives us an advantage. And, if Cincy does win, then we play the Colts in Indy,if we win. I like that better than playing Denver in Denver. If we have to go to Denver the next week, so be it.
it's about how The Patriots play.
it doesn't matter who's in front of our boys.
if The Patriots play well we will win.
it's that simple.
each team in the playoffs can/could beat us, BUT there is not a team in the AFC that will beat us if we play well.

Fear of Playing a team has NOTHING to do with BB's strategic planning.

But if there is an ADVANTAGE in playing one team instead of another,
then I have NO doubt whatsoever that BB would know it and go for it.
Someday maybe he'll tell all in a book.

One possible line of thought is the next game mentality.
The goal is to win the next game or there are No games after that.
So if you had a choice to play two teams which team would you choose?
You would logically choose the team you can match up best against
because the goal is to WIN THE NEXT GAME.

So forget the fear thing, that's for losers, which team do the PATs match up
best against .... Steelers or Jaguars? and Why?

Being on the Bengal message boards, they feel they will have no problem with us...regardless of the fact they are limping into to the playoffs.. They feel that Carson Palmer is a clone of Peyton Manning and will have no problem with us. I personally wanted to play your team first...we are finally healthy and playing better than we have anytime this year.....just like you!
Interesting to look at your view point, knock off the defending champion early. I presume this is in anticipation of facing a tougher team as they advance in the playoffs - whereas the Colts usually get worse as the pressure increases?

Actually, it was the Byrds (with Pete Seeger adapting the words from Ecclesiastes to his own melody) that did "Turn Turn Turn", not Crosby Stills Nash and Young. FWIW...
The education around here may be esoteric (to quote from the legendary f2p), but it's always fun.

IMHO

1) JAX shouldn't be overlooked. However, there are certainly the worst of the six, and certainly worse than PITT.

2) Playing JAX in the cold is better than playing PITT in the cold.

3) PITT has a better chance of winning two games than JAX, thus giving the possibility of a second home playoff game gainst PITT.

I stand corrected. Who on CSNY were Byrds?

Crosby. Not CSNY members were McGuinn and MacGuire, ever famous for the line "McGuinn and MacGuire were still a getting higher in LA you know that that's that" in the Mamas and Papas (John Philips) song.

Pats tried their best to win that game until the 2 pt "attempt" by Cassel. Bill would have been stoked if his B & C team could have pulled it off IN REGULATION but there was no way he was going into OT for nothing. Why wouldn't you insert Flutie for the 2 instead of calling that lame corner route. Cassel didn't even come near the target.

He really had to have liked the way the guys played hard and executed fairly well and almost beat their A squad. Good enough...lets wrap this up and hit the meetings for Jax. Doesn't make him a bad guy - just wickid smaht.

I'm not really attacking the resting of starters right here, I'm just wondering why people wanted the Pats to sit down beacuse they thought there would be an easier playoff schedule if they did.

That isn't the case. Period.

I did, and this is why

I think Pitt can beat Cinci and will at least beat up INdy physically.

I like playing Florida teams in Jan at home, especially with Leftwich still hurting.

It gives us on more day to prepare for Denver. Denver is good, but Indy is better.

If we would have won Sunday and not have reached the SB we would have drafted 28, we know draft 22.

Pitt has a chance to beat Indy, thenthe championship game is at Foxboro.

Well said, it doesn't matter who we play or when we play them. They are all good teams and if we don't play well every minute of every game the season will be over.
