Why didn't Belichick light up his Benjamins on fire like that when Brady was here?

Brady played for years with scrubs because Belichick wouldn't sign anyone worthy. Then Brady leaves, and BB starts spending like the Kardashians' on Rodeo Drive?

Why? Why couldn't have BB spend that money when Brady was here? Give him the weapons he needed? That sure would have make him stay? No?

He never had $65m in cap space to play with in a year where most teams were scrambling to create any space.

How many times does this have to be discussed before people get it? He didnt have the resources its literally that simple. They mortgaged the future to win, a decision they'd make 11 times out of 10. There was no easy way to fix the cap short of doing what they did. Brady didnt want to waste a year of not contending, a smart decision by him i will add.

How many hands on your keyboard?

Because of bad drafting and contracts. The contracts are off the books so now they have a bunch of money.

we didnt have $60million in cap-space thats why. So you only saw 1-2 big splurges like Revis, Gilmore etc. Also, we were paying alot of guys that were already on the team. Mankins, Gronk, McCourty etc.

We just didn't have alot of guys on our own team that Bill would want to retain. Which is why we are seeing more Free agency moves.

This again. People seem to forget we had a top 5 offense for about a decade from 2007. There was no real need to spend extra on offense - it was Bill'a job to put the best team on the field. Bill gave Brady exactly what he needed - which by the way included a HoF TE, a long with a couple of pro bowl calibre wide receivers, and a number of good complementary pieces.

I've come to the conclusion that almost all posters who do this already know the answer, and are either trolling or just seeking attention.

2010,2011,2012, and 2013 they got stifled in big games. The offense was good "statistically" but they were missing legit outside guys. Rex Ryan said recently on his "Get Up" show that coming up with the 2010 playoff game plan against the Pats was surprisingly easy knowing they couldn't throw to the outside. He clogged the middle and dared them to throw to Revis/Cromartie.
