You're reaching brother; just let it go Brady is a nice guy, and honesty even if Brady loved Tebow does it really matter? Do you have any clue how much Brady loves Wes Welker? Can you say bromance....

The point I am trying to make is the players were told not to comment on Hernandez. However, reporters have asked the players and the ones who answer will not specifically talk about Hernandez. Other than we have moved on, we are praying for the families or just not commenting on it. Gronk did an interview on the news with his family. When the reporter asked him about it he walked out and didn't answer the reporter on that question.

It's somewhat comical that you're suggesting participating in OTA's is more beneficial that the 36+ months that Tebow has spent in the NFL, practicing, training, OTA'S, live game action. As far as the playbook goes he spent his entire rookie season in a McDaniel's offense, but that doesn't count right?

Honestly I'd be in her arguing against any 3rd string QB just because I want the roster spot to go to a player more likely to contribute to the success of the team; Tebow's performance last night just validated that belief for me.

Did you not read the post that you replied to, thinking that you had "got" me or something ?

Here's one thing that it said, which was the context of the post:

Amazing how much better a QB can play when he's had time to digest more of the offense.

In being comfortable with the current offense that a QB is being asked to run right now, yeah, I think having the playbook for 45 more days and having basically double the practice time would indeed help immensely.

There's other things that will come into play down the road, that Tebow's 36 months of experience would/should benefit him more, but that's after someone has a grasp of the offense.

As for the roster spot, who knows what will happen. My point is that I think it's too early to judge based off one preseason game a guy played in after 9 or 10 practices.

Are you done backtracking yet? Comments were made regardless of the breadth of that comment. That is all.

I am not backtracking. Go through all your debates with other posters here on the board and you will see backtracking. Anyways I am ready to move on.

 you're really make this discussion way more than what it is. Got you, I'm an adult in an adult sports forum I'm not attempting to "got" anyone. This moves to the front of the class for immature comments right here, talk about making a mountain out of a mole hill, I might actually print this out and frame it.

Have a good night Brady6 - It is clear that these two guys don't get it and they appear to always be right regardless of what they say.

He played in Josh's offense for 18 months, he's been here 60 days. My 3 year old could grasp a playbook in 20 months.

I'm actually going to follow your lead, nothing goods going to come out of this discussion. Good night CC and Demo!

Have a goodnight Brady6 as you know I hold no hard feelings toward you. Even though we don't agree on many things.

Absolutely no hard feeling I very much enjoy our discussions, and as a man who appreciates loyalty I commend you on standing by Tebow no matter what.

I've got hard feelings for YOU, CC...

Really ? Let's go back and look at it again.

I made this statement.

He's also talking about a guy who's been through the entire preseason to date with his team. Hell, Tebow was 8 of 13 in his first preseason game. 1 of his incompletes was a bad drop by Willis and another was a ruling of forward motion while being sacked.

Amazing how much better a QB can play when he's had time to digest more of the offense.

here was your reply:

You do realize Geno Smith signed his contract with the Jets a month after Tebow signed here correct?

Geno Smith signs rookie contract with Jets

That's not trying to play "gotcha" ? There are so many ways that you could have put out the same information in the form of an actual rebuttal or conversation.

Don't take that the wrong way. Gotcha's can be fun and they are done around here all the time Thing is though, you have to actually get the person.

Good night D :sly:

That might very well be a good point. I'm not sure how much of the current playbook was in the one Tebow learned from Josh in Denver.

Tebow is good mojo. It sucks having him take up a roster spot but for some reason I think he might be lucky. We need good karma this season.

We just got rid of a serial killer.

and notice how no one seems to even give a good shyt?...it's the Tebow Effect...and I think you are more correct than not...as long as the whole Patriot world is gripped in the throes of Tebowmania, the rest of reality seems just mundane and uninteresting. Where was the Chosen One when Spygate broke???? Dyam...we coulda had all sins forgiven....

I could think of several defensive backs who I'd love to get rid of.

Re: Backup QB Situation

Tebow clearly does not possess the mental aptitude to play quarterback in the NFL.

Is it that, or is more that he correctly fears his mechanics would cause him not to deliver the ball to the right spot?

Tebow is good mojo.

Glad to hear it.

'Cause as a QuarterBack, he sucks.

*NOT Taking a Position in the Eternal & Infernal TeBow Debate, Thank You Very Much!!

This is the thing that confuses me a bit (although that isn't hard to do):

MAKES SENSE

--Taking a low risk shot on Tebow, who has proven to be a smart, "football intelligent" player who gives his all on every play. He's also the kind of guy who loves to play the game, leads by example, and offers some versatility in other areas where he can be an improvement

DOESN'T MAKE SENSE

--Using him solely as a QB3

I don't mind bringing him here one bit, aside from the debate and controversy; however, I have not fully understood the idea that he'll be a good enough QB3 here. In my opinion, if that's the plan then we're wasting a precious roster spot on a developmental QB for at least the next year at a minimum.

FWIW--I voted to keep him, even though I kind of disagree on trying to develop him in the QB role for the length of time that it will necessitate.
