Who's the next to get a long term deal

I'd resign McCourty over Talib every day of the week. i'm not clear on when the Hernandez money is no longer an issue (we're only on the hook this year?) but presumably that could be set aside for Talib

2014 Salary Cap
Top 51 - $114.80 million
Dead Money - $7.58 million

Yeah, next year is the ball buster regarding the Hernandez situation. As of this current moment, we're approximately in 122.5 million towards next year's cap.

While the aspect of not spending more available monies this year was met with a lot of criticism by most, including myself on a lesser level, it's looking to be a pretty good thing at the moment. If the cap increases by a couple of million and we carry over around 7 or so, we should automatically have approx. 10 million available for 2014, and that's before any Fanane money is recouped and possible extensions are made.

I foresee a future slash and burn scenario.

And don't forget Hernandez, either. The Pats seem intent on going after every dollar they can.
