Who will contribute the most in his rookie year

I think Dobson can have an impact on us like Torrey Smith did for the Raisins in 2011. Collins has a lot more competition for playing time at his possible positions.

I also expect that Armstead and Collins will play meaningful roles on defense. Wouldn't be surprised if they're the only three that play significant roles this season, unfortunately.

I vote for Armstead. I'm very intrigued by what he'll bring to the defense. Boyce was my second choice.

Dobsons got virtually no competition at the outside spot unless you count Jones/Edelman but they aren't true outside receivers. It has got to be him for our team to take the next step.

So Hopefully It is one of Dobson or Collins who makes the most impact this season. Don't count out Boyce though. He seems like a strong, physical route runner who might make an earlier impact, ala Branch.

If he can learn the playbook quickly enough, it'll be Dobson, no doubt in my mind. Like some of you already mentionned, he has virtually no competition at his position so he should be a day 1 starter. His contribution might not be that high number-wise, but his mere presence should help Amendola, Gronkowski and Hernandez get more space.

Could def see Boyce having some big moments
Collins could contribute more, but it really depends on how we utilize the safeties and linebackers. If Collins is in every nickle situation as the linebacker opposite Mayo, and he's also brought in to rush the passer on other situations, like 2nd and 15, he could accumulate some pretty hefty numbers in regards to playing time and stats
But, if Dobson is in on most snaps of the base 2 wr-2 te package, it's hard to top that

I think only Dobson, Boyce and Armstead will get enough playing time to be able to contribute significantly.

And I'm not sure about the impact of the WRs if Gronk/AHern are healthy, plus maybe the complexity of the scheme works against the WRs year one. So I'll go with "AA, eh?" (I'm sticking with it).

I hope the WRs can contribute though.

I'd say it's a toss up between Boyce and Armstead. Boyce has all the tools to contribute on offense in his rookie year. He's got the smarts, physical gifts, and burner speed. If he puts it together, he'll be a very nice weapon for Brady. Armstead could also contribute the most by giving the Pats the interior pass rush that they've been lacking the last few seasons.

I'll go with Dobson. Mainly because: Gronk/AA might not be 100% and Amendola might miss a few games(God i hope I'm wrong ...really wrong) plus the kid has good hands (although i don't buy the "no dropped" passes) and at 6'3 he has no competition as a deep/outside threat.

It doesn't mean that at all. McCourty has a slot locked up, but A.Wilson is older, declining, and Gregory is Terrible.

I think the inevitable injuries in the secondary foreshadow meaningful contributions from Ryan and Harmon this season.

I also really wouldn't be surprised if Buchanan contributes as a sub rusher.

Statistically: Collins. I don't think our new WRs will have a big impact stats-wise and I'm unsure if they'll be able to pick up our system to be relevant enough to be taken into consideration in this context. Hope I'm wrong though.

If we talk about the player who will have the biggest impact overall on our team, I think it will be Armstead; if he lives up to his potential I'm convinced he's a chesspiece we missed heavily the last seasons (collapse the pocket, free up other players [Mayo, Hightower, Spikes, Wilson], avoiding that other teams would be able to double Chandler consistently on the other side).

Tough choice between Logan Ryan and Jamie Collins for me. I think Collins has an opportunity to start at a couple positions (SAM OLB, nickel LDE) but I think Logan Ryan will get playing time due to the seemingly annual Cornerback injuries. I'm gonna go with Collins by a finger nail.
