Who will be the new OC?

While the Kraft's have given Belichick carte blanche as they should have, they are also very unsentimental people. They are not given really to sticking it out with Brady if the braintrust (correctly) thinks it will hold them back from rebuilding, nor do they risk offending the power structures in the NFL that will put a bullseye on the team.

This is why I believe they would never go for a set-up like the one above.

If Bill B. is really thinking about a future as HC for his son, he could make it mighty uncomfortable for the Krafts by declaring himself GM and installing his son.

That would be a dilemma. But Bill also risks damaging his legacy if he does that.
Bill has the Early Bird videos. He can do whatever he wants.

Dante goes all the way back to Ron Meyer and yes also coached under Parcells... Ivan joined his former boss at Syracuse **** MacPherson here (as WRs coach) but was da Bears' WRs coach during Parcells' time...
Makes sense. I knew Dante had been here forever

What do you think Kraft is thinking about it?

If I were Kraft - more specifically Jonathan - I would be keeping a very close eye on the progress or lack of it of the team next season - especially vs Barfalo - and the relationship it has with the type of staff Bill has ass-embled, which is short on experience but long on connections... and I absolutely would not hesitate to seek counsel on these matters from people outside the building...

Sorry not sorry, but that is one COMPLETELY FUC-KED-UP coaching staff.
It’s a home grown one, just like we have always had.
McDaniel, Daboll, OShea, etc etc were all brought through that way.

Not O'Shea... and Skippy was promoted to OC too early, as we all witnessed during SB42 when he too often had no answers to what Spags was doing and to help his OL compensate for their overall suckiness...

Lol, led the offense to the greatest season in history and 16-0 and he was promoted too early. You are too much.

Those 11 could've been OC'ed by you or me to 18-0.

If we see another year of crap special teams, dumb penalties, and mistakes Kraft should take a long look at the coaching staff

So you really liked McDaniels that much? Cause that staff is very similar to the staffs over the last few years.

I would like to see Bill bring in some veteran coaches providing some ideas like when he first started. Not happening though as the board favorite Steve (sarcasm) is too far down the rabbit hole. Bill will not demote him but rather promote him. Mayo eventually leaves like Pepper Johnson did as this situation looks eerily similar.

That’s the thing Belichick has never demoted one of his coordinators/play callers. Not in 22 seasons. Bringing in someone else or promoting someone else to DC demotes Steve Belichick. That isn’t happening. Steve might get the DC title or he might leave to coach somewhere else. But while he is here, no one else is calling plays.

Yep, we have to accept it.
