Who takes their game to the next level?

Welker. He's going to step his game up big time which is great seeing as he brings 100% on every down. I have a feeling he'll be my favorite Patriot by the time the season's over.

Add the home field turf

Good Josh, I completely forgot that most of last year was played on real turf. This colors/biases an improvement in all offensive stats this coming year probably at a slight decrement to what was accomplished at home by the defense. Most, including I, forget how pleased Tom was to finally get some solid footing underneath his arm to throw from. I would add just 500 additional yards from that small fact.

My personal hope is that O'Callaghan or Britt have a break out year after a full year in the offensive line boot camp. Can one imagine what defensive coaches might decide on how to handle a Mankins/Koppin point of attack vis-a-vis Neal/O'Callaghan/Britt? The Pats have the potential to be real road graders as the receivers draw the corner backs and safeties deeper than the past nine in the box.

Of course, if either Mankins or Neal were to elevate their play to emulate John Hannah leading an outside sweep, I might not object... (smiles)

One further thought and then I will stop... Just imagine what might happen with the Pats if the offense line was more highly regarded than the wide receiver group. I am looking forward to this offensive line group rising to the challenge and becoming widely recognized as the successors to San Diego's and Kansas City's previous success. Who else would you rate as better this coming year?

Not exactly the same thing that people are talking about, but I expect Richard Seymour to have a great year. He was banged up pretty bad most of the year and it seemed to affect his play, with him at 100% this season I expect him to show why he is one of the best linemen in the league.

Richard will be back !
