It's easy, and only takes a few moments.Well, if we all suspect that Matthews is "maxed out" at 241 lbs., we all know that the kid who spends thousands of dollars every month on nutritional supplements is maxed out at 243. Plus he just isn't a very potent pass rusher.
You know he did play at defensive end as a sophomore and weighed 260 pounds.
My WTF pick at 23 is Connor Barwin.
Yeah, my response was a little too snide. The fact is, though, that in 3+ years as a starter, some at DE and some at OLB, all surrounded by NFL-caliber talent, Cushing's career sack total is lower than what Barwin put up in the first year of his life playing defense. I just don't see Cushing as ever becoming the kind of pass-rushing force offenses have to account for.
Any TE drafted in the first 4 rounds! Other than that, I will throw my remote if the Pats draft Clay Matthews with their 1st round pick. This guy was mostly a special team guy and played spot duty with USC.
Is every WR with elite speed going to be another Chad Jackson or Troy Williamson to you? Because there's really no other comparison to DHB. Jackson was immature and lazy. Williamson couldn't catch. None of these things apply to DHB. In fact, Jackson and Williamson don't even compare to each other...unless you're also grouping them with Bethel Johnson, Mike Williams, David Terrell, and Charles Rogers.
Chad Jackson had excellent hands. No, but WR's with elite speed and spotty productivity along with questionable hands does raise their spectre to my mind.
Chad Jackson had excellent hands.
Chad Jackson had excellent hands.
Laurinaitis and Cushing
Yeah, but you know how Belichick loves to draft tight ends.
Chad Jackson had excellent hands.
My wtf pick would be someone like Mankins, who no one was even considering drafting in the first round. I would be outraged, of course, until I saw him play and realize yet again that the Patriots draft board is unlike any other in the NFL and nearly impossible to predict. I love/hate when they make me look stupid like that.:enranged::violent::violent::violent:
