Who is the best available Kickoff/Punt returner ?

With the loss of Amendola & the Patriots desire not to make Edelman a full time punt returner anymore, who is the best available player to fill that role?

Cyrus Jones (5 fumbles in 18 returns) is sure not the answer.

Is there anyone on the open market, we could bring in for a tryout?

What about what they tried after the Jones/Slater debacle - some combination of White, Lewis & Brandon Boldin on KRs? Then they don't have to sign someone else. Griff Whalen was presumably brought in for punts, but he was inactive last night.

Devin Hester has just been released by the $hitbirds.

But I guess his better days are behind him.

I assume Griff Whalen gets the next chance, but he couldn't learn the offense in 5 days and they weren't going to activate him only to return punts. Maybe now they'll consider doing so.

It will probably be Whalen after another week of practice. Slater would be fine, just needs more practice himself. I wouldn't mind Bolden either.

Haven't watched the ratbirds enough to know about Hester. Certainly he understands his role back there, at least!

So, I got into watching rugby during the Olympics, and am really a fan now. My son joined a local rugby club, and the club has a big boy team that plays up in Saratoga. There's a team from Boston in their league, and another from RI, I think.

Anyway, I took my son to watch them play, and during the game, someone boots it real high and out of bounds. I see my chance, call for it, and field that moonshot cleanly on the sideline ("touch line" in rugby jargon). I hear a couple players yell, "Wow! Nice catch!" I toss it back like it's no big deal, but on the inside I feel like a champ.

What I'm saying is I'm available, and I won't muff that **** on the 2.

Someone give this beast a contract.

On a somewhat related note, my 18 month old ran into me earlier today and fell flat on her ass. I'm pretty sure Tom Brady would appreciate me protecting his blind side....

She clearly needs to add some moves to complement the bull rush.

I didn't budge an inch, and I hadn't even seen her coming. I was focused on pancaking the **** out of her 4 year old cousin...

There are three great PR options on the team - JE, White, Lewis - but possibly too valuable to risk them.
Id give it to White before Whalen or anybody from the street..
