So I don't know why someone on reddit decided to talk about a player we signed late after the draft unless redditors are into anecdotes on UDFAs kickers.
Yea he did a ton of those shows. I remember watching them with my grandfather as a kid in the 70s. Great TV for a 7 year old lol.Nobody here under the age of 50 will get this... but I read his name, and immediately my mind jumped to:
Man, I watched too many police shows in the 70's. LOL
I was pretty young and I remember thinking that Angie was old. I would have been about 10 when Police Woman was on. She would have been mid/late 40's, which would be perfect now, however. Funny how the line moves, eh?Yea he did a ton of those shows. I remember watching them with my grandfather as a kid in the 70s. Great TV for a 7 year old lol.
He was especially fond of "Police Woman" with Angie ****enson. @Steve:Section 102 would agree.

What I meant is we can go all about percentages for kickers but here is a player
Who went 10-of-13 from 40-49 yards and 4-of-10 from 50 and up.
So if you cite his 42-for-58 record. Wanted you to put into perspective that about a fifth of that was from very long range and of his 16 misses, 40% were on 50 and up. He has made some clutch kicks and I think our coaches sees that.
He may be one of those who just need a consistent holder to work with. We shall see but I am rooting for him.
Well, you're more observant than I am. I watched The Streets of San Francisco and never consciously noticed that. Or at least I don't remember it.Nobody here under the age of 50 will get this... but I read his name, and immediately my mind jumped to:

I'm troubled that you didn't bring up Lori Partridge (Susan Dey). She made me "come on get Happy!".I was pretty young and I remember thinking that Angie was old. Deep dive into the 70's... I would've been more into Charlie's Angels, Bo Derek, Barbi Benton, Morgan Fairchild. I remember thinking the girl opposite Loni Anderson on WKRP was way cuter. Kinda Ginger/Mary Ann thing. I always thought Sally Field looked pretty cute riding around in the the black Trans Am. 14 year old me had a huge crush on Jane Seymour in Live and Let Die. I still get a chuckle in Wedding Crashers when she makes Owen Wilson feel her up. 14 year old me woulda died to do that.
That would have been Jan Smithers, in the role of Bailey. Definitely agree with the Ginger-Mary Ann analogy. (Google 'Bailey Quarters WKRP' for some vintage pics).I was pretty young and I remember thinking that Angie was old. I would have been about 10 when Police Woman was on. Yea I was a little kid too. At that age I had no idea what "hotness" was but I do now....and AD was hot.I was pretty young and I remember thinking that Angie was old. Great actress. Loved her in Million Dollar Baby. Not on my hotness scale but certainly attractive
My first major dumb-ass TV crush was....Quinn Martin Productions made the following (all with their signature tag line, and voiceover of the upcoming episode):
- The Fugitive (1963-1967) - David Janssen, Barry Morse
- Barnaby Jones (1973-1980) - Buddy Ebsen, Lee Meriweather
- Streets of San Francisco (1972-1977) - Karl Malden, Michael Douglas
- Cannon (1971-1976) - William Conrad, Patrick Culliton
- The Invaders (1967-1968) - Roy Thinnes, Kent Smith
- 12 O'Clock High (1964-1967) - Frank Overton, Paul Burke
- The FBI (1965-1974) - Efrem Zimbalist Jr, Philip Abbott
- Dan August (1970-1971) - Burt Reynolds, Norman Fell
- The Runaways (1978-1979) - Michael Biehn, Patti Cohoon-Friedman
- Most Wanted (1976-1977) - Robert Stack, Shelly Novack
- A Man Called Sloane (1979-1980) - Robert Conrad, Dan O'Herlihy
- Tales of the Unexpected (1977) - William Conrad, David Birney, Bill Bixby, Lloyd Bridges
- The New Breed (1961-1962) - Leslie Nielsen, John Beradino
- The Manhunter (1974-1975) - Ken Howard, Robert Hogan
- Banyon (1971-1973) - Robert Forster, Joan Blondell
- Caribe (1975) - Stacy Keach, Carl Franklin
- Bert D'Angelo/Superstar (1976) - Paul Sorvino, Allison Giannini
There were also dozens of Quinn Martin made for TV movies that starred many of the actors above, plus others such as Scott Baio, Vera Miles, Brian Keith, Janet Leigh, Julie Harris, Tim O'Connor, Walter Pidgeon, Linda Day George, Murray Hamilton, Lloyd Bridges, Eve Plumb, Ned Beatty, Patty Duke, Sally Kellerman, Don Johnson, Donna Mills, Suzanne Pleshette, Albert Paulsen, Billy Dee Williams, Shirley Jones, James Farentino, David Soul, Ricardo Montalban, Elizabeth Ashley, Jack Warden, Morgan Fairchild, etc. Features from QM Productions were all over tv for two decades, back in the days of rabbit ears and three television networks, meaning everybody watched pretty much the same stuff (especially the first seven shows in the list above).
As for Quinn Nordin, he is being signed for two reasons. First and foremost to take the burden off Nick Folk during training camp drills, so his leg is still relatively fresh in January. The other is simply as an insurance policy should Folk suffer an injury, (or a sudden steep decline in performance). That's it and nothing more. There are always more than one kicker and punter in training camp for these reasons.
