We have lots of choices/hopes after Amendola.

I suspect that if Lloyd were signed, he would/should move to the top of this list of question marks.

I am hoping Dobson

I think Amendola and Jenkins will be leading our team in receptions by the end of the season. Followed by Gronk and Edelman.

I think that this is right. The 5th and 6th should be our #2 TE and a RB.

Since you put likely, my answer is "other".

Damn, what an awful list that is. I voted for Other.

Really loading up at the receiver position for Brady's last years, ey.

Right now, before training camp, I'd put it as a toss up between Amendola and Edelman. Amendola is a good and solid receiver, but Edelman knows the system well, so both sort of compliment each other.

Gronk, once he returns, ought to have a solid season and I personally see him doing very well, and the combo of Brady/Gronk being right there with Bledsoe/Coates.

I agree that if Lloyd comes back, he'd go to the top of the list, but otherwise I have to say Amendola & Edelman vying neck and neck.

Can "at Wide Receiver" be transmogrified to mean "catching the Ball, regardless of Position"??

If so, what's the Line on Shifty Shane Vereen leading that Field in Yards or Catches?? 100-1??

Put me down for a C Note each on both. I'm good for it.

Actually, OTG makes a good point about Vereen.

He's got pretty good hands and I suspect he'll have a pretty good catch total by season's end.

Heh....... " Shifty Shane Vereen " I like that. Consider it stolen.

If Jenkins is #2 in receptions for the Patriots at the end of the year, that's a very bad sign.

I'd say Aaron Dobson for a few reasons. We all know about his physique and skill set but I look at his "class peer group". The fact that like fellow big guys like Julio Jones, AJ Green, Demaryius Thomas and others with similar physique (ht and wt) have been part of a recent NFL tradition, and just too trendy as of late (beyond the years of past NE WR draft picks). Guys that look and play like Aaron Dobson did in college or similar come in and make an immediate impact right away whether it be an instant pro-bowler or instant producer. The proof is in the pudding with recent WR draft picks the last 8 years around the league of your 6'2, 6'3 or 6'4 guys coming in and thriving. Plus, Aaron Dobson .. with that name, the guy must be good lol. He even sounds like a star if you ask me

Randy Moss 6'4 21 pick so was last receiver taken in 1st round, almost 2nd
Andre Johnson 6'3 4.41 first round
Larry Fitzgerald 6'3 4.63 first round
Calvin Johnson 6'5 4.35 first round
Julio Jones 6'3 4.38 first round
Dwayne Bowe 6'2 4.51 first round
Demaryius Thomas 6'4 4.38 first round
AJ Green 6'4 4.48 first round
Aaron Dobson 6'3 4.43 second round (so he is second round, so what?:rocker:

And the jersey number of being in the teens even has a nice trend

AJ Green #18
Larry Fitzgerald # 11
Julio Jones #11
Justin Blackmon #14
Aaron Dobson #17

Highest prospect at WR from Marshall since Randy Moss, and during his last season there, hasn't dropped a single pass.

I think (hope) that IF he can stay healthy, Edelman has a really good chance to shine as a slot receiver this year. This is his big opportunity to finally establish himself.

Yes I agree on Julian Edelman, he could shine as a slot receiver. Could you imagine if both him and Amendola stay healthy? Not to mention, the contributions that rookie Aaron Dobson could make. I think with all the negative crap about loosing Welker, and Aaron Hernandez people are becoming blind to the fact that the team is blessed with offensive talent.

I think Boyce is gonna surprise some people.

I see no possible way that Michael Jenkins is catching more passes than Gronk.
