its a bit of a dilemma

CB isnt really a huge need, but chances are good a really excellent CB will be available

OT is desperately needed in a big way, just not a sexy pick

a true stud #1 WR is needed, but is there a clear cut one of those in the draft outside of maybe Quenton?

I'd add an edge rusher in the same category as CB as well. It's not a big need this year, but next year with Judon going into a contract year and Uche's contract up, if Nolan Smith is the BPA at 14 is that worth it rather than trade down? Gonna be interesting.

For me it’s Levis or Richardson if you are done with Mac or if Gonzalez is somehow there.
My nightmare is the Jets take Gonzalez one pick in front of us.
Having him and Sauce is gross.
Poor Mac wouldn’t pass 200 yds.

Boring! Another 1st round OL?

People need to go back and look at the long list of excellent 1st round WRs taken over the last few drafts...

Justin Jefferson
Ja'Marr Chase
Jaylen Waddle
Brandon Aiyuk
DeVonte Smith
CeeDee Lamb
Jerry Jeudy
Garrett Wilson
Drake London
Chris Olive
Jameson Williams
N'Keal Harry (jk)

I'll take the next one of those.
I get you crawhammer but I feel the can get a very good fringe first WR in the Second on a slight Trade up.

Trade back if Paris Johnson, Witherspoon or Gonzalez are gone and take Zay Flowers

I think you can get someone like Steen, Bergeron, Morris, Duncan or Freeland later and they could turn out as good as Wright, Jones or Harrison

I also think OT might not be as much of a need in '23 as it will be '24. Think having a competent OC and an actual OL coach will help the OL.

Trade back and take Flowers.
Don't sleep on Jordan Addison I think he and Flowers are very similar though I love the way Addison attacks the entire Field. CB's will get no downs off vs Jordan Addison I really hope BOB is making this pick @ WR getting his guy.

I say if Paris Johnson is in range move up with a Third Hopefully a 4th you make that move and get him. Guys who can play Left Tackle are very valuable to a QB and the entire Offense.

I voted OT, but knowing BB, he will draft a pass rusher when we need OT, CB, and WR.
If one of the top pass rushers drops, you have to take him. We have need at the DL, and the top pass rushers are all rated much higher than the tackles and CBs. For instance, as a player, Tyree Wilson is far and above any CB or OT. That being said, if ew reach for a Bresee or Van Ness, then yes, I'll be disappointed.

Peter Skoronski screams Matt Light to me a Guy who looks like he should be a Guard but have the ability to play either Tackle spots. I think he might be on our Draft Board.

Wouldn't hate it. Him, JSN or Flowers i'd be happy with.

Yeah, the only knock on Skoronski that I've read is his arm length. Everything else I hear is about how he checks every other box to be an elite tackle. If his arms were an inch longer, he'd be the consensus top T on everyone's board and probably a top 5 pick. I think I'd probably take Johnson or Jones if I had my pick of all three, but if Skoronski is their preference (or is the only of the three left at 14), I think we'll end up really liking his game.

That was the knock on Matt Light too short arms will struggle against speed rushers might be better inside. Light outplayed his flaws and was a good LT for many years. Do you know if Skoronski had a visit with us? So glad we have a legit OL Coach in Klemm this time around.

I don't know off hand if he had a visit, but I think he falls squarely into the category where they wouldn't need one. He doesn't seem to have any recent injury history that would require a peace of mind physical, and I haven't heard of any character concerns that they may want to interview him about. Everything they need to know about him is in his athletic testing or on his game tape. They know right now whether they'd like to draft him or not, so we won't really know either way until he gets drafted by them, or 14 comes and they pass.

And in fairness to the knock's on Matt Light, one guy he DID have trouble with almost every time was Jason Taylor, who was about as pure a speed rusher as you could find in the NFL at the time. But given that was the only guy I can really remember giving him consistent fits, I'd say you're right, the short arms didn't work against him at all.

And speaking of OL coaches (and bringing this whole short arm debate full circle), Dante has gone on record as saying arm length is overrated in tackle play, which is why he was onboard with Matt Light (good) and Isaiah Wynn (bad). But Wynn's problems were never really his arm length. They were attitude and health related, which unfortunately is not always easy to predict coming into the professional life.

I’d love it if they drafted a WR in the first, but I would be shocked if they did. OT seems the most likely.

Couldn't agree more with what you said I remember the Jason Taylor days too so glad he retired. That said I would love this kid in the later rounds as developmental type prospect down the road OT Jaelyn Duncan I think he has some correctable flaws love his upside.

Keep in mind that while Matt Light was dinged for short arms, his arms are a full 1 1/4 inch LONGER than Skoronski's. (33.5 inches vs 32.25)

Most of the value I see is late 1st-3rd. Not too many guys in the first that just POP off at you. I’d rather they trade down and try to score some extra 2nd-3rd rd picks. If they can walk away with 3-4 picks in the top 75, I’d be good.

Want: Nolan Smith

Expect: Trade down, and then someone who I’ve never heard of

Ridiculous premise, as the second I saw an option regarding a potential murder or murders, I was hooked.

That aside, I would have voted OT if not for the RLKAG mega-option.

I'm torn between thinking they will draft a CB or LT. I'm pretty sure Paris Johnson will be long gone. But I would be ecstatic with Broderick Jones instead.
