Where was the crowd noise guys?

Too bad Kraft had the stadium built to dissipate sound to the heavens rather than focus it on the field.

Not to mention how much further from the field you are than Foxboro was. I know it was a horrible stadium with laughable facilities that needed to be upgraded but I seriously miss how close to the field even the bad seats felt compared to Gillette. I've sat in row 24 in the 300s and row 6 in the 100s and places in between and I just flat out preferred Foxboro even if I was frozen to a tin bench.

from my tv it looked the crowd was very good but my volume was not so high as the game was playied in the night...

but i feel it was a good performance by the fans

compliments !!!

Well I watched on TV and thought the crowd was great.

Too all my friends at the game last night GREAT JOB!

It sounded loud to me.

For the most part, I thought the crowd was pretty loud. The only game I have been at with the Kraft Patriots that was louder was the Pats-Indie Championship. Everyone in my section stood up the whole game.

My son who was in the section next to mine didn't think the crowd was loud enough. He was at the Giants-Pats game in the Meadowlands and said now that was a loud crowd...you couldn't hear anything so that was his comparison.

I think its really by comparison that the lack of crowd noise is noticable. Watching on television ( HDTV) , the crowd is simply not part of the game at Gillete, where it clearly is at all other NFL stadiums. Gillette is one of the few stadiums where you watch an NFL playoff broadcast that NEVER shows the crowd. Why? because they are all sitting politely watching the game, almost like a tennis match. Nothing to get upset about , or be insulted about... it is what it is. Who cares. I'm 2000 miles from Gillette and enjoying watching Maroney run for 122 yds and Brady go 26-28

People were telling each other to "sit down" in my section, which I hated. Also, the seats didn't seem to fill up after halftime until well into the second half. That being said, I thought the crowd was OK overall. I'd give them a B or B-.

There you go. In a playoff game no less, cheering for a 17-0 team. WOW.

Thanks to those of you who screamed to the top of your lungs last night.Get your voices ready for next week. Our 12th man should definitely be in full effect next Sunday.

i hope next week it will be wild...Afc Championship !!!

Now that being said, there were plenty of us who ignored the lame-o's and stood up the entire time screaming like a bunch of freaks. My throat is sore this morning. But there seems to be this contigent of middle-aged overweight lazy asssssses who can only be bothered to stand when they deem it most critical. I don't know, maybe they were tired or gassy.

And this is up in the nosebleeds. I don't want to hear about the quiet "cheese and wine" crowd in the red seats.

But I'm really not trying to be negative. Just pointing out that not EVERYONE gets on board with the standing and scraming, which of course is what you'd like to see.

Lemon juice would definitely help your voice.I know this because my sister is a vocal coach. The taste isn't very good. But it will keep your voice in very good shape.

Cool, thanks for the advice.

Your normal fan that would pound on the metal bleachers in Foxboro has been priced out - it's that simple. This has been over-analyzed, in my opinion. Used to be if you went to Foxboro Stadium in another team's jersey and it was a big game, you were BEGGING for problems...

I thought that crowd was loud in the 4th quarter during the Jags last 2 drives. I think that Gillette's open end does hurt but the red seats piss me off, 80% of then inside sipping their hot beverage of choice on a relatively warn night. I probably shouldn't say this as it is an admittedly sexist statement but......Gillette also seems to attract more women than other stadiums I've been to. An example - two twenty something girls wearing their Brady shirts in my section spent most of the game running down the aisle trying to get their sign on TV. I hope that someone told them that the Pats won.

Maybe the guys who complained about the noise at the stadium tonight should buy a TV set that isn't purchased with the announcement of " today's Blue Light Special is....."

The sound of my $3,000 TV says you guys who attended the game were great tonight.....and Thank you :rocker:
Thank you!

That's why I asked for the perspective from the stands, as I know it doesn't always come through on the networks. @ss clown. Take your Ritalin.

Thanks for the info from those who were there: it sounds like you had a different perspective (with a few exceptions), and held the decibel level high. Too bad Kraft had the stadium built to dissipate sound to the heavens rather than focus it on the field.
Oh stop it already. Your main comment coming from having just watched the game was "The crowd didn't sound very loud." Was that it? It was a dumb post.

interesting discussion. i guess if you pay your money you can be as quiet or as noisy as you want, but the relative quiet in Foxboro seems to be costing the pats a competitive advantage.

On the other hand, it's possible that Gillette wasn't designed with the idea of maximizing crowd noise in mind like some other outdoor stadiums (KC, Seattle), so maybe we shouldn't be putting all the burden on those who shout themselves hoarse.

Listening to the game on the radio, useing headphones it sounded deafning at times. Gill and Gino were almost drowned out on many occasions.

one of the easiest road stadiums to play in for noise. Pats still have a good home field advantage, but not necessarily do to the loud fans.

Evidently, it wasn't designed to keep noise "inside" the stadium like some others and it certainly can't compare to a dome and piped in noise
