A buddy of mine got a call from his boss Thursday, he puckered for the worst. Instead he heard, I want you to take a couple clients to the Pats game. After he cleaned his jeans out he said, absolutely! I'm your man. Pretty cool, eh?

Anyway, he's got the company credit card thing going and hasn't been to game in a few years and was wondering where to go spend some decent dough on dinner and drinks near Gillette. He figures CBS scene will be too jammed to enjoy so he asked me where to go and I had no idea. But I bet you guys do. These are meat and potato people, BTW. Thanks!

Five Guys Burgers and Fries is your place

I second that. Class place and wicked good Italian Food :rocker: Close to the interstate 495 also. You won't be disappointed and your boss will praise you !

Every place is going to be crowded around there. Bring a grill and go to parking lot P10.

Lafayette House south of the stadium is a strict meat and potato place. It's very old school and is around 300 years old- John Adams, George Washington, and Ben Franklin lodged there on their way up to Boston; apparently back in the days, Foxboro to Boston was an entire day on horseback.

It will be somewhat crowded but not as bad as other popular spots.

at the stadium ..upscale..Davio's

right across from there...Bar Louie...I LOVE this place...jammed before the game

Yep...Lafayette House is good also..haven't been there in years !

Haven't tried out Davios yet, but if JO recommends it, it's good .

I like Cristina's, which used to be the Stone Forge. About a mile from the stadium (north on Route 1), with game parking at a good price. Isn't really crowded because pretty much everybody around there is tailgating. I would classify the food as high end pub food (if that's considered a category).

Theres also that italian place at Patriot Place, which is pretty good.

I love Five Guys and that's where I go before the game, but Davio's is probably a good bet to take clients.

Go to Patriots Place as long as you have the boss's credit card! Here are my suggestions: (in order of preference)

Skipjacks (seafood, and some steak/beef options). Pricey, but bar is good and you always get a table eventually.

Tavolino (Italian/Pizza). A little less pricey, smaller but good bar and tables are "get"-able here too.

Tobey Keith's - haven't been here, but heard it's good and it's a bar & grille, so probably pub fair.

Red Robin - kind of like a 99/Ruby Tuesday-type place. I can't really recommend it because the one time I went there before a game I waited 2 hours in the bar and never got a table, so had to eat a pulled-port sammie in the stadium (messy).

5 Guys always has a huge line and it doesn't have a bar, I don't think, and it looks like seating is very limited (always see people eating outside - not a great option today when it's freezing).

CBS Scene - forget it; huge waits.

Have a great time - I'd go with one of the first two to impress clients!

I was thinking P11 when i saw the thread title! :singing:

Bass Pro has a great snack bar area... just sayin'.

The game's a late start. Why not eat somewhere else and then drive to the stadium?
