One of two Patriot numbers with Superbowl MVPs 12 -(twice) and 83 (Deion) can never be forgotten.

That said Welker is nobly continuing the legacy that Branch left behind. I wouldnt mind at all if he got #83 its second superbowl MVP, he certainly looked the part in Dallas.

I don't want to comment on the other #83. This #83 is better.

Welker. Honestly, when I opened the thread I had completely forgotten that The Twig was #83. I may have missed him last year but this year he's nothing.

Branch, but Welker is catching up.

Branch's performances in SB38, AFCCG vs. Pitt and SB39 will always be remembered very fondly, despite the later holdout.

Regards,
Chris

holds the record for catches in consecutive super bowls......if he stuck around, he could have surpassed all of Jerry's Super Bowl records.

Honestly, #83 is still Branch's. I hope Welker gets to play in the Super Bowl. Until then, Deion wins.

Deion comes to mind first. I'm glad we have a faster, superior 83 now though.
