When will they change the name of the trophy?

I think there's more of a chance they call the SB MVP award the Brady Trophy and that's improbable at best.

No need for a lot of words here, but I don't think it should be just called the Vince Lombardi trophy anymore. I know some prefer to stick wtih tradition but my gawd, there is another name that at a minimum needs to be shared on that trophy if not outright be used. Regardless of the outcome of this game, I am going to start a movement to get it talked about in the media so it gets rooted.

Keep it the Lombardi Trophy - history, man.

However, the new award should be the Bill Belichick Coach of the Year Award

Come on now. Vince Lombardi is a historic figure in the NFL and the trophy was named after him right after he died.

Belichick will be recognized at some point - after he retires and likely after the current regime in the NFL office is gone. It'll be in some other way that's probably not as good though. The "Bill Belichick Super Bowl Media Night," or the "Bill Belichick Ceremonial Super Bowl Coin Flip." Or even make a new tradition along the lines of the Green Jacket and present the Super Bowl winning coach with the "Bill Belichick Super Bowl Champion Hoodie."

Renaming the coach of the year award for Belichick would seem apropos.

I don't think any man should have his name attached to the ultimate trophy. It should just be the 'NFL champions trophy'

I don't know if they award a trophy for the Pro Bowl, but if they do, Goodell would probably be happy to name it after Belichick.

they will change it, but it will not be while BB is still active int he league, it will be a few years after retirement

they will change it from vince lombardi to bill belicheck trophy

and i expect they will rename something for Brady as well, maybe the Hunt trophy? who knows

but it will be something big, and it will only be after they retire
