He is active and Derby inactive the last 2 weeksI'm still scratching my head as to why Harbor is even on the team, even though I really wanted him to make the team when I initially heard of the signing. It had to be one of those "break the glass in case of emergency" roster decisions with him.
That cant be right because I was told for years the Wilson didn't belong in the NFL. He cant be a starter.Easily? Lions GM Bob Quinn was with the Pats when they picked Richards, and his team could use some safety depth now that (starter) Tavon Wilson has a neck injury.
I was thinking the same for brisket but also cutting Derby, if he isn't playing now how much is he gonna play when gronk is close to 100%?IR Brissett cut Foster or one of the backup Olinemen
He wasn't bad in Detroit but he also is in a terrible Lions defense. That cant be right because I was told for years the Wilson didn't belong in the NFL. He cant be a starter.
Gotcha. He backs up TEs, hes an H-back and he backs up Develin.
Good point. Hadn't really thought about that angle with Derby.I was thinking the same for brisket but also cutting Derby, if he isn't playing now how much is he gonna play when gronk is close to 100%?

With lil' Gronk signed as FB to the PS that makes Harbor's position a little less secure.I was in favor of cutting Harbor, but if he is indeed the only backup to FB Develin, this will make it much less likely. BB crafts the roster so he has a competent backup at every position. One reason next-man-up works as good as it does, is well because.. there is a next man ready to step up. However, it is just the FB position afterall, so who knows... maybe he'll throw the dice and go thin there. But that didn't work so well last year. Yet another reason the running game was putrid then, and looks so much stronger now. And, if you heard BB mike'd up vs HOU, he specifically told Blount to follow the FB block, so BB obviously values the role to the running game enough to plan for a backup. So... I guess I'll say, Harbor will NOT be cut Alex... final answer.
Just to add to the impossible puzzle here ..
