Cooper was not good in AZ and has been perma injured. Regardless of how ready he may be, he hasn't proved himself on a skill level or in his ability to stay on the field. There's no way they are releasing anyone on that offensive line unless it'a to pickup another oline player.

I agree with you on Derby. He most definitely would not clear waivers and I feel he's a player the Pats don't want to part with.

Really? Who would be the back up if Jimmy G gets traded this season? In my mind keeping Brissett on the roster is a strategy for dealing Garoppolo for a max return.

My money is on Roberts, then one of Harbor or Derby.

Why would they cut A.J Derby so glad BB is running this ship. Cut a player who our Rivals would love to have then he can come back and bite us in the @ss I could see BB doing that with a player like Derby NOT!

We have 6 safeties on the roster...I think you have to look at one of King, Richards or Ebner being cut...you can only have so many special teams only players

Exactly the ST's Specialists become redundant after a while no Team needs that many. I would add Jordan Richards would be my First to go he would EASILY CLEAR WAIVERS. Anybody who thinks otherwise needs brain surgery. Jordan Richards is a Taxi squad player at best.

The Jets would claim Derby in a New York minute. They have been picking up any TE that hits the waiver wire.

In actuality Richards is a very good STer. The problem is that hes maybe the 5th or 6th best on the team behind, Slater, JJ, Ebner, King, Bolden and perhaps Harmon. That group is a force.

Easily? Lions GM Bob Quinn was with the Pats when they picked Richards, and his team could use some safety depth now that (starter) Tavon Wilson has a neck injury.

Tough decision for BB because he's having to cut, because of carrying an extra QB this year, one position player that you know he really doesn't want to cut. He thinks of carrying 3 QB's as a distinct disadvantage in terms of roster options.

knowing goodell, and seeing how the patriots have started, i wouldnt put it past him to pull the old "im extending the suspension because brady came back early, the nfl football week doesn't end until the last game of that week is played.

Josh gordon knows a thing or two about popping open a beer after his team "finished" only to lose a year of football for it because the league year wasnt over.
