I honestly forgot that this guy was even on the team.

This one is a mystery to me.

When they got him early in the season, he seemed like a natural to get plenty of action this year. He was a workhorse on the Bears last year. The past 6 games, he has a grand total of 5 snaps with the defense (he is almost exclusively used on ST's).

Sure Mayo has come on with the healing, but does anyone know the story on this guy? He's 24 years old.

I was wondering the same - I came to the conclusion that he (and Freeny) are more for next year.

A surprise to me as well. Led the bears in tacking I believe, then with injuries to Hightower and Collins the opportunity was right there, but he could not pass a mediocre Freeny.

Bostic much be valued moreso than Cleveland,Hankerson,The Defensiveback we just released from the Bengals.
Kitchen interesting I wonder if they are saving him for the playoffs.

Let's hope we never see him in action. I believe he's more for next year anyway.

At the time of his acquisition, Freeney hadn't shown up and Mayo was not what he is now.

While I agree that part of the logic was for him to be part of the mix at LB in 2016, I do think that they were hopeful he would be playing more this year.

Maybe with more time in the scheme, he will be better and take on more snaps. He's flashed a few times on special teams, so that's still good, at least.

He took out Chung in the titans game. I was really ticked off! Delanie Walker never should have had that long run.

Yeah, that was a double whammy.

Right now Bostic is fulfilling an important role as a core ST's player, and from what I've read, doing a very good job of it. But I too am a bit surprised to see he hasn't had any run at LB. It just might be that without a TC, he never got past Freeny and Mayo on the depth chart knowledge wise. As it is getting LB snaps can be difficult for anyone not named Collins or Hightower these days. The scheme they play limits LB's most of the time to 2, and sometimes even one.

Lets see if he doesn't get more run on Sunday, and I'm patient enough to wait until the next TC to see what he really has. He place on the roster certainly makes it easier to deal with Mayo, when he's asked to take a deep cut in his salary.

Freeny has started a majority of the games he's played, I think he's a this year player.

Don't think that was the plan, nor was it optimal. Trial by fire and often burned.

But BB was quick in extending him, so he saw something good.

Every time I see Bostic out there taking a defensive snap, he's out of position, overrunning a play, or generally looking lost.

He's been good on ST, but he seems to have zero clue as to the defensive playbook. Hopefully he learns it in the offseason.

They started to test for HGH?

I was hopeful Bostic would be a nice depth addition to the Linebacker crew but the simple reality is he's been below average this season. As many have mentioned, hopefully 2016 will be a better season.
