What should Maye work on next after the Season?

He did mention it in a postgame presser about not wanting to be a check down charlie. Not sure if he was just saying that to be funny but if not Josh needs to revisit that with him
So in other words he locks on to his primary target which is one of the worst traits a qb can have. Josh needs to work with him on this attitude.

The screen game was lacking this year. Sometimes you need it, even if its not exciting. Got to be able to get that going. Also understand that the long ball is awesome but death by a million paper cuts and scoring that way is OK too.

The screen game seems to be going extinct for many teams. My guess is that defenses are too fast and can sniff it out most of the time.

BALL SECURITY

Finding his hot route when he's being blitzed. He was pretty good at reading the defense and processing during the regular season but wasn't as good in the playoffs. Based on where he is this early in his career I think he's going to grow a lot with his processing.

Learn how to slide. If only he slid properly in the 3rd quarter of the AFC championship game, then he wouldn't have had what probably is AC joint separation during the Superbowl. BTW, Dr Chao was right. But some people here seem to enjoy shooting the messenger too much.

i think slot WR is one of the positions that needs an upgrade
Nah, they had plenty of options in the slot... they just didn't use them.

Terrible, because as I pointed out prior to the game, the Seahawks defense didn't have many weaknesses, but they were susceptible in the middle of the field to slot WR's and TE's. Douglas was eating them up when Drake was forced to pass entering the 4th quarter. Look what Puka Nacua did to them in the NFC Championship game mostly from the slot.

How did I, Pat's fan on some forum, know this and Josh didn't. It annoys me to no end.

I wonder what Thomas Brown is thinking right now?

“What are you getting at Gr8est?”

Well, I remember that Brown was as interviewed as a potential HC, and the HC were so impressed with him that they wanted him on the staff.

Future OC candidate?

douglas ate them up late when they went deep zone....neither douglas nor chism is a top nfl offense slot.....not even mid

Our #1: Diggs
Our #2: Pops
Our #3: Chism

probably one of the positions of least need

diggs needs better quality around him or he gets shut down

pop and chism are week 3 preseason stars, not much else....pop has great yac ability, not much pre catch talent

Not a shot at Maye BTW that's the correct answer

Tom was just a pyscho

All for family and stuff but when he gets his mind back and ready himself for next season, he needs to just watch how many plays were out there.

I agree with everyone that state the short passing game, Drake has mentioned a couple times he’s not much for the short passing game. Vrabel and Josh need to emphasize to Drake that the short passing game will be a part of the offense moving forward, let him know that once he masters the short passing game it will only open up more opportunities for the deep passing game, and he won’t get hit as much. A few years from now we will be amazed at how did we end up with a generational talent at QB again.

Diggs is too expensive at the slot. Could Chism replace him like Edelman did with Welker? Douglas isn't the answer.

Fans and media were furious when BB let Welker walk, but it was the right move.

To be more clear, I believe that we should carry at most two slot receivers. We have our starter Diggs, and Pops or Chism as a backup.
============
We have Hollins as an all-around receiver, also capable of having receptions over the middle; ditto for Henry.

For me, any improvement would come outside, if we don't beleive that Boutte and Williams are enough.

He was holding on to the ball for too long. Was that because he had been rattled earlier or does he need to work on sensing pressure and surveying the field better? 4-5 seconds is a lot and when he had that time in parts of the game, it means the o-line did their job at times and he needed to take advantage of that.
I am hoping that he works on that and the sacks will be greatly reduced next season!!!

We need someone opposite Diggs. Defences don’t respect the Pats WR’s. That needs to change next season. Our current group is not sufficient for us to have sustained success
