What picks were the most impressive last night? And least?

Given the gigantic cap hits there is no realistic way for the Packers to move on from Rodgers before 2022 (or even 2023). As others have said this situation could get ugly.

From last night ....

Quick thoughts ...

Washington is a mess but holy snikes their DL is nuts. Chase Young, Sweat, Jonathan Allen, Payne, Ioannidis, Settle is absolutely filthy. Talk about multiple.

Conversely NO's OL is pretty sweet. Armstead, Peat, McCoy, Ruiz, Ramczyk, Warford isn't bad at all.

I've liked TB roster and Wirfs is a big get. Their IOL is vg. Wirfs is ready day 1. Gronk/Howard inline. Godwin slot. Evans split out, will be tough to stop.

CEH is the perfect RB for KC. If he can improve in pass pro. KC will throw it 1000+ times over the next few years & he's a great rec back. He's been compared to Westbrook & others and is just a great fit here even tho I don't like RB round 1.

Cooper, Gallup & Lamb is quite the trio. Wow, perfect WRs for Dak. All similar but different. Precise r/r who are really good at the top of their routes. + Hands. Really good working the intermediate parts of the field.

I didn't like Aiyuk in round 1 but he's perfect for Kyle & Jimmy. He reminds me of CP a bit. Not as physical or physically gifted but to a lesser extent. Kyle knows/understands and more importantly will actually play to guys strengths. That's probably his biggest strength besides spacing/design. He did a great job with Deebo. Does a great job with his backs and tight ends. He just understands what to expect & ask of guys. Aiyuk, Deebo, Kittle isn't bad going forward.

I also think Reagor is exactly what Phila needed. I had him in the same tier as JJ & Lamb since last draft so I'm not surprised by this. Hell of a player.

49ers kinda lucked out with Kinlaw. Sucks moving on from Buckner but Kinlaw, Bosa, Armstead, Warner & co is a nice corp going forward. 1st for Aiyuk is too rich for me but he's another versatile weapon that Shanahan should get the most out of. Deebo, Aiyuk & Kittle are all nightmare yac players so you can see a trend ...

Terrell & Arnette might have been surprises to some but I'm glad they went early selfishly. Draft capital matters so it's nice having your top guys go early

Same for WRs

Still happy with this deal. The difference from 23 - 37 isn't huge. Plus an early 3rd? Can't pass that up.

The picks that had me wishing we higher:
TB - Wirfs - true NFL frame.
OAK - Ruggs - the type of transcendent athleticism/speed that works in today's NFL.

Questionable:
DAL - CeeDee Lamb - I know he was productive in college (largely thanks to Baker/Kyler/Hurts), but he has pretty average speed (4.50).
ARZ - Isaiah Simmons - Too skinny for a LB, too tall for a safety. It could be like Malcolm Jenkins in the best case.
DET - Jeff Okudah - a fine player, but really not what DET needed.

I see you have the Al Davis approach to WR evaluation.

I was most impressed CJ Henderson, CB Florida. He has a slight build but can absolutely fly. His acceleration was amazing.

The worst pick has to be the Jets and the meatball.

So best pick is just whatever freakin' prospect you like best?

Great thread!

Chapter One by the Patriots of "How To Screw Up A Draft"
No, no, it was a great move. The Patriots have a lot of holes to fill and it is a deep draft.

The real way for the Patriots to screw up a draft is to draft a WR in the first round....as they proved last year.

It depends on what question is being answered:
1. What's the best way for the Pats to rebuild the team?
2. What's the best way for the Pats to satisfy the immediate gratification entertainment needs of their celebrity-addicted, fantasy football-educated, Madden mindset fans?

Falcons pick was embarrassing. His “highlights” looked like lowlights.

I gotta agree on CeeDee Lamb. A dubious pick. Big slow guy sort of but did seem to get open.

Jedrick Wills was a beast in the highlights. Just destroying guys. Tua called him the Alpha Male of the line.
