What happened with Goodell???

I could have sworn that after teh game they kept saying that coming up would be the trophy ceremony with Roger Goodell and it turned out he was a no show to teh ceremony...Do people think it was odd that Tippet was giving the trophy to Kraft and CoachB and NOT someone from the league?? Is the nost powerful person in sports (according to a large survey last year) yellow?? does he have no gonads? Is he trying to avoid giving teh Pats the trophy?? OR did he wish to stay away becuase HE KNEW he would be booed and did NOT want that PR to start??? I even think less of him now..

I don't think the Commissioner usually does it as there's two Conference Championships. Anyway, Howdy Doody will have to man up and present the Lombardi Trophy to our boys in 13 days.

My ONLY concern was it was announced post game that Goodell would be doing it...SO my thoughts are he was there and obviously CBS THOUGHT he would do that...what happened?? Yes, if it hadn't been announced as coming up...I would have NOT thought about it..but when CBS does...what happened?

CBS had problems with their audio. Only the TV audience heard that Goodell was coming up. Nobody in the stadium heard it.

Nah, Harry Carson presented the NFC trophy. Someone must have screwed up saying Goodell would present it. Doesn't the commish only present the Superbowl trophy?

I am not sure..but why would they announce that?? SO he was at the game...and?? Interesting though...but it is odd they did that annoubce it and then have him as a no show..

The Commish NEVER presents a Conference trophy.

I remember Namath giving it to Kraft in 2004. Len Dawson giving it to him in 2001. I forget who did it in 2003.

Rest assured that you will never see Goodell in Foxboro. He is a gutless stooge for the Jets and the crowd would let him know it. The closest you will see him is in NY and a neutral site like Phoenix.
