I haven't seen the team use him yet during the regular season. Is he injured or are we just not using him for anything yet? I wouldn't mind seeing if he can still play.

Injured in TC and out for the year.

He's gone on to be a prominent hand model....

No really he went on season ending IR for a knee injury and is free to find work with any team if he comes back sooner.

He was placed on injured reserve on August 15, as a result of a knee injury that would require surgery. He was released by the team on August 17 with an injury settlement.

Injury was obviously quite bad, otherwise he would have been signed by some other team by now

Well that's disappointing. I always thought he would do pretty well with the Pats.

Which brings up a question. Will Taylor Price get some playing time soon.

I see Slator got one snap on Sunday and was the target for an overthrown Brady pass.

Saw him on Jim Rome show a few days ago. Very articulate. At home rehabbing. Thinks he will be able to come back next year. First time in about 15 years watching the sport from a fans perspective. Plays fantasy. etc.

Loves Randy Moss. Practising with Randy during his stay with Pats, he was stuck by his work ethic and passion, etc.

Slater has more value on Special Teams, which where the Pats still obviously need a lot of help. I'll wager that Taylor Price will eventually contribute this Season, but he still lags having gotten off to a slow start. Recent acquisitions Woodhead and Page have both been seen on Special Teams units, despite their lack of immersion in the regular Offense & Defense rotations.

I will be amazed if Holt really does return next year. I don't know any teams that are going to pick him up, and what would he even have left? I wasn't expecting much from him even if he did make it.

He is a class act on the field and off the field. He would be great to have as a mentor for a young bunch of receivers even if he doesn't recover enough to be anymore than a no.5 on the depth chart.
