With all the comparisons between him and Rodgers it's interesting to see who accomplished more in that stretch of time.

Are you going to provide some data or is this just a rhetorical question since we all know that TB won three SB's and was league MVP once in his first seven years?

Isn't Rodgers just halfway through his 4th season as a starter?

How is this 'comparison' possible?

I can't comment on the seven years thing, but Mooch was on NFL Access last night stating that Brady's stats were a bit better in most categories than Rodgers in his 2007 year

..for whatever all that stuff is worth....

why is there always a thread comparing Brady to what ever QB is haveing a better season then him like it's takeing away from what he did in he's career ?

He plays outdoors in Green Bay - If he finishes the year beating Brady's stats, than that will be incredibly impressive.

Especially considering Brady plays in a dome.

And his 7th year in the league. Are you saying he was a rookie in 2008 ?

Yup...remember the 2nd jets game that year? He was horrible in that game...all of his passes were floaters for some reason. Usually Brady is a pretty good in a dome but i just don't understand what happened that day.

Just because Aaron Rodgers is having a great year doesn't mean Brady hasn't had a great career. Brady brought us 3 SB rings, 2 NFL MVPs, a TON of Records, and nearly a dozen years of dominance. That's all that matters.

At a certain point, the young guys always take over. It's called life.

Brady still has a good six years left.

He also plays in division with two domed teams. And he plays in a conference with a lot more of them not to mention some real cupcakes to toy with... Perhaps that is why his team is actually oddly built to play best indoors. In case you hadn't noticed, Gillette is located outdoors in NE... and none of our division rivals sport domes.

You can compare their first 4 years as a starter at the end of this season. Although it's still not exactly apples to apples. No matter what he does this season, Brady will remain at least one up on him. You won't be able to effectively compare their careers until both are over.

He's certainly not being challenged this season. NO stumbled out of the gate, Atlanta has taken a BIG step back, The Rams are a disaster, Minnesota...Denver...Carolina...Tampa is now heading backwards...And Da Bears are what they are. They yet play the AFCW this season (SD and OAK). They lucked out in not facing the Lions when they were hot out of the gate and now have two games left with them. So aside from the Giants there isn't much left on the schedule to challenge them, either.

The 2007 schedule was the most difficult NFL schedule I've ever seen. 2/3rds of the teams the Patriots played were playoff teams. It was a murderer's row. For that reason alone, I would give Brady more credit.

I get the sarcasm, and it's warranted.

I know where Foxboro is and I'm aware the stadium is outdoors.

However, I'll stand by that statement, if the guy does it - in that god awful weather that Green Bay gets, than I will be very impressed.

Personally, I don't think he's going to break Tom's records.

...was going to mention that actually. I agree with you. But again as i said, does any of this really matter.

Let's just enjoy them both, and hope our pass secondary continues to improve....

agreed. but that's not my point. Aaron is young and in the early stages of his career. Brady is older and in the later stages of his career. It's just simple logic that young talented people eventually eclipse their talented elders in professional sports.

Brady might be one of my favorite athletes of all time, but I'm not going to be delusional and suggest his last six years will be better than Rodgers next six. And that doesn't take anything away from what Brady accomplished in his career.

Brady's first six have already been exponentially better. So the delusion at this juncture would be to presume that Rodgers last six will be better than Brady's last 6. Brady is within that period in all liklihood, but Rogers may well be within his last 6 in a year or less...because he sat for 3 seasons and struggled for a couple of more and has already been multiply concussed close to midway through his career although he hasn't yet suffered the almost inevitable season ender as have Manning and Brady (although Brady is the only one to prove to date he could fully rebound from that).

No, just that it's an unfair and pointless 'comparison'. It's not Rodgers fault that GB had Favre and a team that regularly made playoff runs when he was drafted.

Is outdoors in GB much worse than Foxboro? He also has 2 division away games inside domes.
