What’s our plan at Wide Receiver?

Matthew Golden, Emeka Egbuka, Jayden Higgins and Isiah Bond

No on Golden and Bond. Neither have ever broken 1000 yards in a season. Just because Golden had two great games in his entire college career does not mean he is worthy of a 1st round pick like he is being portrayed. He is highly inconsistent. Just look at his stats. I know people were shocked by his 40 time, but a 40 time does not a receiver make. Bond is a 3-4 round pick and another Tyquan or Bethel Johnson. He has never had a 700 yard season. The infatuation with speed rockets guys up the board, but typically does not translate in the NFL. Its like everyone with speed is assumed to be the next Tyreek Hill. Its just not true. I suspect both Bond and Golden will be average at best in the NFL.

Ladd McConkey college production was 447 , 776 , and 478 yards in his 3 college years. He seemed to work out just fine.

Golden is the real deal, transferred to texas after his first 2 years in Houston. And put up 987 yards as a junior with shaky QB play. He is everything this teams needs and I hope the Pats find a way to draft him.

Chris Hogan says Keenan Allen and Kupp are the two receivers still out there that McDaniels would make very good use of in the slot.

He and Price also really like Mack Hollins.

No......there is another.

I guess a lot of the folks who rank where they will fall in the draft would disagree with you as do I. Time will tell how they turn out.

Here is your guy. Same height(6'0) as Diggs (4.46)but with a faster 40 time (4.29). In fact I think he had the fastest 40 time in the combine. Good hands, can play in the middle of the field or down the sidelines.

Yes sir!

You can take this guy off our radar...

Lions re-sign wide receiver Tim Patrick.

Of course. No one has a crystal ball that tells them who will succeed. The draft pundits actually have a horrible success in predicting prospects. Its all guesswork.

"Horrible success" is a bit unfair. Depends on how high you set the bar. The pundits are usually accurate as far as what range a guy will go. It is guesswork in the end but you get a pretty good reference.

I'd take a flier on Keenan for a year.
Same, he is probably the WR I am most surprised about being still available. Give me Allen and a 1st round rookie at WR (after a trade down, not at 4) and I'm okay with that

Kupp signed with Seattle. 3 yrs, 45M.
