By my count, inactives include:
Cannon
Gronk
T Flowers
B King
Gillislee
Van Noy

One more to go with Waddle and Wise both game time decisions. Wonder if Slater returns.

Gronk doesn't count since he's not on the roster. Two more to go.

If Waddle is good to go, one might be Croston. With King out, I'm hoping Slater can play, though that probably leaves Wise out.

A couple from Giardi of the Pats pass rush against the 'Fins from last time. Interesting to watch Marquis Flowers (#59) occupy blockers. In the first clip, he freezes Pouncey without even making contact, before scooting around the left end. As Pouncey steps to pursue, he runs smack into Adam Butler coming the other way.

Wow, that #10 guy is wide open right in the middle of the field.

I apologize if this comes off as a stupid question. With a 53 man roster and Gronk suspended, they have 52 guys available. Do they still have to inactive 7 players ( 45 man roster) or do they only have to inactive 6 to get to the 46 man limit?????
I don' t think I saw a transaction bringing somebody up from the practice squad.....

Good point about Gronk. Whoever it is, they likely will not be fully healthy meaning no healthy scratches.

They signed Jonathan Freeny for the roster spot.

tuned into felger and mazz (yes, big mistake) hoping for some Pats talk...nope, Stanton talk for first half hour...

I'd trade Trey Flowers for Hogan in a NY minute for tonight's game. No Hightower, No Van Noy, No Trey Flowers, No VV, Half the frickin' front 7 are guys who weren't with the team to start the season. Yeah, I know that's an exaggeration, but it sure feels that way. And you tell me that Miami will want to concentrate on the run???????????? If that doesn't get a few people a bit worried about tonight, it SHOULD.

We need BIG games from Alan Branch and David Harris tonight, or tonight will end up being a shootout that will likely be decided by luck, the refs, or a few extraordinary plays.

I hear they are considering trying out this Russian tight end tonight. His name is StanisRob Gronkowskivez. Expect him to be added to the 53 man roster shortly.

But yes, they can add someone to the roster. Odds are they won't for an one game suspension though.

Since we're including Valentine, let's throw in Derek Rivers as well.

Contemplate this: last year, the Patriots' DE snaps were divided up reasonably evenly among four players: Flowers, Sheard, Ninkovich and Long. Not only will none of those four be suiting up tonight, neither will the top rookie they drafted for the position (Rivers), or the top veteran they acquired (Ealy).

Definitely not the way they drew it up in the off-season!

Where are people seeing that Trey Flowers is ruled out? The inactives have not been announced yet, from what I can see. Sorry in advance if I missed something...

And since you're throwing in Rivers . add Langi (played edge all TC) and McClellin.

On a positive spin - acquiring Reilly, Lee, M.Flowers . to cover for the losses - not to mention unplanned quick maturing of Wise - will pay big dividends next offseason going to FA and draft. (and let's not sleep on Keionta Davis either..)

It's like listening to WEEI.

Has not been that cold here so I don't think they get a temperature advantage this year.

They already re-signed LB Jonathan Freeny to take Gronk's roster spot temporarily - late last Tuesday or early Wednesday. He'll need to be waived again by end of business this coming Tuesday.

Yay it’s freaking Jay Cutler. Our defense should have a pretty successful night even with injuries.

Is there a plausible explanation for this?

I suppose the Miami heat in early season games might be a partial answer.

Miami's also had some pretty competitive teams, in comparison to the other two. The Jets were good for almost 3 years, the Bills have been good never, Miami won a division, made a couple of wildcards, and outside of the Saban era, really didn't finish worse than 6-10, 7-9. Teams with records like that typically have some talent anyway, but no leadership.

I thought that too BUT
Brady's record in Miami in Sept/Oct........................... 5-2
Brady's record in Miami in Nov ............................ 1-0
Brady's record in Miami Dec/Jan ............................... 2-5
