Welcoming New Members

In case some of you haven't noticed, Ian has now provided a welcome banner in the smilies that we can use.

As the season approaches, we will be seeing more new registrants to the board from now until the off season starts next year.

One of the things we do not do well is welcoming new members. It can be done in the New Member sign-in sub forum or if you notice a poster with a low post count and a current join date. This should be everyone's job and not just the moderators.

This is a community of Patriots fans with a sprinkle of good posters from other teams (trolls don't last long). We should try to keep that feeling of community as we continue to grow in membership.

I'll get off the soap box now. Only 2 more days until Training Camp!!!!:rocker:

You should pitch this as a way to pad post counts, might get more people interested.

I figure that between 5 posts a day in the New Member forum welcoming people, and 5 posts a day in the Political forum telling people to piss off, I'll be All-Pro in a year without drastically affecting server load.
