Season is over, time to restock... this will be an interesting week as teams can begin to apply the franchise tag players between February 8th and February 22nd.

LB - Briggs (Bears), Thomas (Ravens)
CB - Clements (Bills), Samuel (Pats)
DE - Freeney (Colts)

This appears to be a very weak FA class, with all the money available there are going to be some rich players.

• February 8: First day clubs can designate Franchise or Transition players.

The Bills "promised" not to use it on him in 2007 but I believe they have since switched GMs. Also good chance senile old Levy has forgotten. I don't think he will get franchised because they would have to pay 20% more than his current salary which is even higher than the projected 07 Franchise number.

The Bills have a lot of cap space $39.7 ~ Million, but still almost $9 M is a lot for one player. I read reports that his play dipped in 06 but that could be a result of being stuck on that team for so long, anyone would get depressed.

I can't see the Baltimore Ravens placing the franchise tag on Adalius Thomas with the limited cap resources currently available to the Ravens.

Most Ravens boards know that they cant tag him at all its almost financially impossible for them.

Local news here in Buffalo says Clements is a sure bet to stay but that Fletcher is as good as gone.
