DRAFT Welcome To New England Notre Dame TE Eli Raridon (3rd round, #95)

It's OK to use that fact in your argument, T, but do NOT forget to add that he has been successfully playing on that knee for the past FOUR years. So even you will have to agree that a LOT of that fear has since waned a bit.
Maybe the second ACL was due to problems with the repair of the first one.

Oh and just so you know, we only picked one. Just one. Not two like you pushed. Just one. We picked one. Why? Because the roster is full for that position pertaining to draft picks. Just like I said. We picked one. Did you know that? Just one.
You guys should get a room.

I saw speculation that it was insufficient healing time. It was only 10 months between them.

Highly doubt it, but here’s some info for the cap guys..

They aren't cutting Henry this season, but drafting Raridon gives them a prospect to develop to replace him next season. I think this is the last season for Onwenu, Henry, Barmore, and possibly Carleton Davis. That will free up a lot of cap space for next free agency and other signings.

People here tend to forget or ignore that if you look at top TE’s in receiving yards for last year, the last 2 years, the last 3 years and the last 10 years, you will find Hunter Henry’s name on all of those lists.

The only guy who you find on those lists drafted as a TE and went after pick 90 is George Kittle. One might include Jawan Johnson, NO’s converted wr, who was undrafted.

It is possible, but extraordinarily unlikely, that Raridon replaces Henry this year. It is also quite unlikely that his career achievements match Henry’s.

Oh yeah - Gronk, Coates, and Henry - in that order - are 1,2,3 on our all time list

He's going to be blocking a lot but having another pass catcher across from Henry is only going to help Henry this season - I'm confident our two new TEs can catch 20-30 passes a season and that's all they really need to do

But if we were really thinking we need to replace Henry this year we'd have been more active in free agency

I wouldn't be surprised to see Hill being much more part of the 2026 Offense that Riordan.
