Look at how the KC Chiefs are drafting.

They are taking risky players.

When you have a complete team, you're much more willing to swing for the fences.

I think of Easley as the poster child of that bust-draft era from 2014-2019.

A lot of swing for the fences picks.

KC has gone for Wiley (speedy but thin), Worthy (fast as heck but raw), Sumataiia (very raw), Hardman (super fast), Karlaftis (super athletic, has not played much football), Uzomah (lightning fast but thin), Skyy Moore (fast, no routes), Edwards-Hilaire (lightning fast, small and weak).

The Chiefs are drafting undeveloped types and going for speed. They have a lot of busts.

This is what picking at the end of rounds is going to do to you.

Watching him real quick and......kind of looks like a day 1 starter. I can easily see him beating out guys like Robinson, Bradbury, and Strange.

I don't believe that Strange will be competing for the Starting Center position.. I believe that Strange will be competing for the Starting LG position.

I also don't believe that Wilson will be competing for the starting LG position, but will be playing against Bradbury and Brown.

Now go back and look at the 2022 draft. Who do you see from 30 on until the mid 2nd that you would have taken instead?

Wingspan has always been part of the draft process. This year, however, the Nancies latched onto it as a way to hate on Campbell since his arm length at 33" is actually not that short.

Then you havent been paying attention, i've heard it used often and its more important then the arm length everyone has been losong thier minds over. The most important thing an offensive lineman can do is be big and wide so its harder for a defensive lineman to get around them. In pass protection its all about making the angle they have to get around longer, its why a buzz phrase for DEs is bend or getting around the corner fast, and why wingspan matters. Yes you never see them playing with both arms spread wide but you do frequently see them playing 80% spread to balance taking away the outside and not get too far in case they do an inside counter. The bigger the wingspan the better you can take away both outside speed rushes and inside counter power moves. The issue with Campbell that does show up on tape is he has to pick one or the other and for a skilled passrusher with multiple moves (you know the vast majority of NFL players) he has to overcompensate one way or the other and makes up for his lack of width with excellent torque and footspeed.

Wilson will work at all 3 IOL spots and figures to be first man off the bench at all 3

A couple of inches of wingspan it irrelevant. No one blinks with theirvatnd outstretched horizontally. If they do they are already beaten and an inch longer finger isnt helping.

Campbells wingspan is an oddity (by a couple inches) for a guy his size. But it will have no impact on his play.
Techniques, strength, quickness, agility, attitude, and coach ability are what matters not minor differences in how far your maximum horizontal reach is.
