ANOTHER team wanted to reach too?
Ha, very funny, but let's not forget that we are calling this a reach based on amateur, Lindy's-style, draft guides which become especially dodgy after the first few rounds. We do not have access to the industrial-strength draft boards that the Patriots (I hope) have so it is a bit of a leap of faith to assume that the Woodson was a reach based on our amateur guides.

I guess we will find out in a few months. If Peppers is cut/traded then we know that Woodson was a great pickup. If Peppers is not cut, then we cannot assume anything and can only wait to see if Woodson makes the team.

His low side is Jordan Richards. He could totally suck ass. No prospect ever has a floor of being a quality player like Harmon.
At least we didn't Draft him in the Second Round off on an articulate interview *coughs* BB...dam *cough*.

Jeremiah had Woodson at 90 on his top 150 list.

The Pats got 7 of Jeremiah's top 90:

11. Will Campbell (4)
32. TreVeyon Henderson (38)
55. Jared Wilson (95)
57. Kyle Williams (69)
77. Joshua Fisher (137)
87. Bradyn Swinson (146)
90. Craig Wilson (106)

That's the equivalent of a full 7-round draft all in the top 90.
And then you throw on top of that a probable starting Kicker and LS. They absolutely killed the draft.

Jordan Richards, like Ron Brace, simply lacked the necessary athletic floor to succeed in the NFL. Neither player should have been drafted IMO, much less in the 2nd round.

Woodson may or may not succeed, but he has enough athleticism to have a shot, and from all reports tons of smarts, attitude, and work ethic.

That’s why Belichick built his Rutgers secondary. Athletically they were in the same ballpark as other secondary players in the NFL, but as a group he knew they would always be on the same page, And a blown assignment usually ends up as 6 points. Woodson has been seriously underestimated by Patriot fans, this was a really good pick.

He was Jeremiah's 90th best player, he's fast, he hits, he's smart, and he fills a need. Good pick at 106.
