ANOTHER team wanted to reach too?

Too bad Geno couldn't stay healthy. He had such a great start to his career.Rodney Harrison is a borderline HOFer.... those are pretty crazy high hopes for a 4th rounder.
If he's Eugene Wilson then this is a terrific pick.
I think the plan is for him to be a FS ala DMCI have a lot of hope for this pick. A 2025 version of Rodney Harrison
Darren Woodson also had a great career for the Cowboys and Marv Woodson had a short but decent career with the Steelers including a Pro Bowl selection back when it meant something, he played CB and SS. It's good to be Woodson and a safety in the NFL!Woodson is a very fast Safety really hope he translates. The last name Woodson is awesome for a DB Rod Woodson - Charles Woodson now Craig Woodson.
Forgot about them thanks.Darren Woodson also had a great career for the Cowboys and Marv Woodson had a short but decent career with the Steelers including a Pro Bowl selection back when it meant something, he played CB and SS. It's good to be Woodson and a safety in the NFL!
No problem! I remembered Darren but didn't know about Marv until I looked him up. He was before my time lolForgot about them thanks.
Rodney was drafted in the 5th roundRodney Harrison is a borderline HOFer.... those are pretty crazy high hopes for a 4th rounder.

DisagreeI've heard that as other teams are doing Vrable wants the Safeties to be interchangeable with no clear distinction between Strong and Free so QB's can't decipher coverage responsibilities at the line as easily. The days of DMac are long gone.
Woodson makes sense in that he has a little size (and speed) unlike the more traditional free Safety types like Makuba and Bowman. I think he'll be a decent player.
Sure. Brady was a 6th rounder. John Randle was an UDFA. List goes on and on. It's tough to put those type of hopes on late round picks or even high draft picks because you're talking like the top 1% of the top 1% of careers when you talk HOFers or even borderline HOFers.Rodney was drafted in the 5th round
I see his low side as Harmon with DMac as the upside. I suspect none of us were disappointed by what we got out of 3rd rounder Harmon looking back. This is partly why I've never thought Woodson was a reach.Rodney Harrison is a borderline HOFer.... those are pretty crazy high hopes for a 4th rounder.

Are Woodsons allowed to play any other position in the NFL than safety?Darren Woodson also had a great career for the Cowboys and Marv Woodson had a short but decent career with the Steelers including a Pro Bowl selection back when it meant something, he played CB and SS. His low side is Jordan Richards. He could totally suck ass. No prospect ever has a floor of being a quality player like Harmon.I see his low side as Harmon with DMac as the upside. Sure, but that can be said about every draft prospect. To project someone to the NFL you have to make a reasonable assumption about what the range between floor and ceilings are.His low side is Jordan Richards. He could totally suck ass.
