Have you ever noticed that whoever the pick is- there are 10-15 social media posts that say he is a steal or the greatest thing since sliced bread.
This feels like a classic BB pick...taken 1-2 rounds too early.
Was wondering when we would see the first BB pick...here it is

Have you ever noticed that you are clinically depressed with an acute desire to spread misery?

The only pick I'm ehhh on but it's fine. I was already satisfied before this.

Does seem like a reach, but a DB named “Woodson” I’m willing to give a chance

I think he is a great pick and was really underrated. We all want the next Rodney, but I doubt this is him. Nevertheless Dugger was soft last year and Peppers had his troubles. We still have not found Devin's replacement.
Duggar was hurt most of the year and the defensive coaching was brutal.

The only thing I don't like about this pick, is that he's already 24 years old (the same reason I didn't like the drafting of Dugger and White). Even if he becomes a 1st Team Pro Bowl/All Pro player, he'll be 28/29 by the time of his 2nd contract. Age does matter for most NFL positions when someone is drafted (especially if they become studs or key team players). I wish that they would stop doing this.

I’m not saying this irrelevant, but we’re still one of the least talented teams in the NFL entering this draft. Beggers really can’t be choosers here lol

I like that he said, "Springy," right after I found out that he high jumped 6'5" in HS, which is darn good. Yet "only" a 36" Vert (says the guy who'd be lucky to VJ 24" right now). Weird.

I agree. But I would've taken Ayomanor first. We now have 3 players that we've drafted (2 under Bill) and 1 under Mike that were/are 24 when drafted.

If the get 4 good years and a Pro Bowl out of a 4th round pick- it is an absolutely great pick- it doesn’t matter how old he is at that moment. They can then tag him once or twice.

Free safety was a need. Woodson runs a 4.45 40 which is quite fast for a safety. He also had experience playing nickel corner so he's a coverage guy for sure. But he didn't shirk the physical run game either with 70 tackles 9 pbus, and 2 ints this guy was all over the field on defense. He's also a two year captain which fills a leadership checkbox as an extra bonus.

He's a 4th round pick. If he was the best available prospect in terms of both floor and ceiling he wouldn't be around on day 3.

Free safety is a need. I don't need this guy to last 10 years from a 4th round pick. If he plays out his rookie contract and provides great value compared to salary and fills that position need adequately that's more than good enough.

Bedard just had a sort of obnoxious question to Cowden asking him if Woodson was a reach. Sort of ridiculous for Bedard to assume that hr has a better board than Cowden, but Cowden did not slap him down and stood his ground.

However it is was a reach then it sort of indicates to me that the Patriots are desperate to replace Peppers.

I've been pounding the table for a true FS for the last couple of years. But I'm still not happy with him being 24 as a rookie.

If Craig Woodson can be 1/3 the player that Rod Woodson was, he'll be a helluva player for the Pats.

I like the pick.

Have you ever noticed that whoever the pick is...there are 10-15 Patsfans contributors who say the player is a reach?
And it's usually the same ones who've proven, time and again, that their football knowledge wouldn't fill a thimble.

And Sam is one. Must be tiring being so negative.
