Not much to explain, it just would have been pretty special and unique for him to stay a Patriot for his entire career. From the Pats' standpoint I think there are some personnel moves they would like a redo on that perhaps would have changed Brady's outlook on the team. But the dust has settled on all that and everyone has moved on. He will sign a one-day contract with the team when his career is over.

I felt Brady declined last year and it was masked by not having weapons. He is still capable of being a very good QB, but I don't think he is great anymore.

That said, the mediocre play thus far is not something that is an indication of what his ability is. It is the first game of the season.

But Gronk looks like crap. He is not getting off the ball when he is running routes and he was easily brought down with his one catch.
