Good news for Dobson though he has earned playing time based on production in limited time last game.

If Marcus Cannon had aspirations of protecting Brady's blindside all those hope are shattered with SeaBass Vollmer's play. I think Vollmer plays LT waaaayyy better than Nate Solder. That said Cameron Flemming name is not being called much with a good thing for a O-Lineman.

Great move we just played Physical game down to the wire Miami's last game was over in First Quarter. We can only hope that was good enough for LaFell but I would dress Dobson just in case I think a fire might have been litt under his you know what knowing LaFell is cleared.

Vollmer is like Matt Light. A rock at the point of attack. But if you think Vollmer can stay outside with guys the way Solder can, we definitely disagree. Two different guys.

I don't know why Solder sometimes crumbles on double moves. He looks gawky. Vollmer maintains his balance and fends them off. But both Vollmer and Light had the problem of being overwhelmed by fast athletic guys. Remember Light and Freeney? I think Solder has that part of the game down. Solder h the fastest feet out of all of them.

That being said, Light's best year was his last year. Don't know why he retired. He had clearly honed his game as a veteran, and all the tricks he learned were on display.

After Light retired, he revealed that he'd been struggling with Crohn's disease for most/all of his career. It seems there was a behind-the-scenes struggle that we weren't really privy to with him, and that it was a lot harder for him to get his body to cooperate than we might have realized.

Rough news about Cannon and Sheard, in particular. We really need both of them to get to anything close to 100% as a team. The others are no big deal, Keshawn was WR4 at best with LaFell back, and I think the dropoff from him to Dobson is minimal-to-nonexistent.

One of our posters made a disparaging remark about Keshawn Martin that I thought better than to respond to.

Certainly, KM hasn't been central to the offense. In fact, in 3 games he was only targeted 7 times. But he caught 6 of them for 95 yards and a touchdown. At least two were difficult (and important) catches by anyone's standards. I think he's been a great find, so far, and would have been very good to have had on the field last Sunday. I'd be happy if Dobson became as adept at catching the ball.

Good to see Lewis and Mason out there.

Just as expected, Sheard will likely be held out of Thursday's game as well. He should be healthy and ready to go the week after.

It still blows me away that as a pro athlete he dealt with and managed this during his career. Especially a man who most likely needed to consume 8-10k calories a day and drink a ton of water during the season.

Incredible.

Does it seem that BB is giving the injured guys more time to heal?

Shaq Mason had a big brace on his right knee in the locker room today. Was walking with a bit of a limp, too.

Whatever happened to Mason, it sounds like he needs to sit on Thursday and get another 10 days to try to get this thing healed. Or longer.

That's the benefit of being 6-0 while working around an early bye. We all want to go undefeated, including Belichick, but he knows that there's more important things; one of which is being as healthy as possible heading into the playoffs.

Any idea when we might see stork on the field? Andrews has doned a great job but i feel stork will bring that toughness and unity to our o line

He's eligible to be activated next week for the Washington game. From there, who knows.

looks like it to me. Cannon and Sheard were said to be minor. Maybe hes giving them extra time because of the early bye this year?

Possibly. I got that feeling after reading LaFell's comments upon returning. It seemed he felt he was ready to go for awhile.
