looks like it to me. Cannon and Sheard were said to be minor. Maybe hes giving them extra time because of the early bye this year?

"Minor" in the NFL means "only a few weeks." Mayo and Spikes had "minor" knee injuries in 2010 and 2011, both missed 4 weeks and were never full speed the rest of the year.

Possibly. I got that feeling after reading LaFell's comments upon returning. It seemed he felt he was ready to go for awhile.

LaFell is a bit different since they had no ability to activate him earlier. That said, I agree with your premise that Bill is likely to take things more slowly if there are any questions. That's why I predicted that none of the inactives from Sunday would play this week.

I have to admit that Rufus is somewhat concerning. One week could be a flu, but two indicates something more serious. With the depth on the DL, he might be a candidate for IR when the reinforcements arrive.

Rough news about Cannon and Sheard, in particular. We really need both of them to get to anything close to 100% as a team. The others are no big deal, Keshawn was WR4 at best with LaFell back, and I think the dropoff from him to Dobson is minimal-to-nonexistent.

I'm not surprised at this at all, honestly..If they don't dress, they will have had nearly 3 weeks to get healthy. Much rather have them for the last half of the season then have them go down against Miami and miss the rest of the season..

My guess is that we'll see the same ones listed out as we did last week with the exception of McDonald replacing Johnson since McDonald will have had one practice with the team..

i am worried about Cannon not playing. I am concerned that Wake could abuse Fleming

Sad to say you're right about Rufus - now on NFI list.

Hopefully he recovers from whatever it is that is ailing him.

Sad to hear about Rufus, hope he gets better and is ready to go by next year. He showed a lot of promise in the preseason.

I wonder if Rufus got mono... That would qualify as a NFI.. And it's a long term illness..

I hope not. It's a long, long time ago but I still remember it with no pleasure -- especially how weak I was for how long. Still, even that is better than MRSA.
