I just hope mac and offense dont become too careful about not turning over the ball and just become over conservative. Thats what happened to mac after the baltimore game.
BOB has been quite poor at utilizing the running game and PA. Yes there have been oline issues but listening to lazar and other folks this was BOB's problem in alabama too. not using the running game much.

I wish I had your optimism, but frankly I don't see where those other 3 wins are coming from. It will be an even bigger ****show when they stroll in with a record of 1-12 (the KC game will be their 14th game of the season)
cap's prediction of 1-12 should be made to be a stickie

I kinda question Troy Brown as a position coach. Running rub routes have been an issue with this team for years now under three OCs. Part of the reason I wasn't upset when they didn't re-sign Meyers at the time was because he couldn't run a rub route to save his life. He always let the defender redirect him. That is an issue when you run a bunch formation, you need to create the natural pick to get someone open.

Also, they really don't have anyone who can do crossing patterns which used to be the Patriots bread and butter with Edelman and Welker and Amendola other than maybe Douglas, and they barely use Douglas.
I thought that it was a board rule that we don't criticize Brown as a position coach.

I think Douglas, Thornton and Boutte need to be on the field because they can actually create separation. That may actually be their best trio from an athletic standpoint. Mix in Bourne periodically.
Sure, mix in our best Bourne occasionally after Douglas, Thornton and Boutte. Perhaps, we should just re-sign Patricia and bench Bourne entirely.
I agree that Douglas should play more. The rest is simply giving up on 2023 so that youngsters can get reps. I suppose that also have Onwenu reps limited so that Mafi and Sow can play more.

Please don’t tell Captain Stone that the Saints punter is an undrafted free agent.

Lou Hedley, who punter for the Miami Hurricanes, is averaging 43.1 with 8 punts inside the 20. Hedley is an Aussie.

Bryce Baringer, our wonderful sixth round pick, is doing slightly better: 43.9 with 11 punts inside the 20.

They are almost equal in punts. 21 for Hedley to 22 for Baringer.

Sounds as if good punters can be found as undrafted free agents. Good job, Saints.

Speaking of our WRs , this maybe blasphemous but i dont think troy brown is great WR coach. I saw his pressers last yr and he was kinda deflecting and disappointing tbh. All those routes in dallas where they were 1 yard shy of the 1st down should fall on him.

Unless Boutte is hurt or something it's another wonder why BOB isn't playing him what has Parker or juju done to earn playing time?
BB only plays the Guys that gives us the best chance to win ie... Parker and Juju.

Ross I don't think we are getting anything from Thornton this year I'm going off a hunch.

I will say it . Brown isnt a good WR coach. I saw his pressers last yr as well...he doesnt seem to speak honestly. Seems deflecting. All the routes the past week where they are running short of the stick etc are on him. Boutte not tapping the feet is on him . He just gets a pass because he is a patriots HOFer.

It's makes too much sense checkers vs chess??

It's telling.. Parker came here last season.. Bourne has been here 3 seasons.. he doesn't get an extension but Parker did?.. very odd if I'm Bourne the way things are going I'm sure KB would not mind being back with Shanahan next season.

Shanahan did not want Bourne back so Bourne is in New England. Did you read somewhere Shanahan wants Bourne back? Can you provide the link?

Zo and company sees the same things we all do. Perry made a good point the Defense know the Patriots have nobody who can run by them. Mac doesn't place the football in tight windows. Those Floaters will definitely get picked off.

This team reminds me of the 2009 team. Doesnt seem like there is enough fight or a strong leadership. Your QB had a bad game, got kicked and slammed in the jets game etc but no one is stepping up and showing some sense or urgency or anger. Just cursorliy supporting hoping things get better. Too much soft leadership.
