I looked up "Christian Gonzalez news" on Google and went to the news tab, and because Google is a ****hole collapsing in on itself and is a gaping maw of atrociously curated content by way of """""relevance""""", the first result was a story saying Gonzalez Injures Leg In Practice and I about lost my ****ing mind thinking it happened again.

He was such a good blocking back coming out, like one of if not the best in years. I think he just had a bad game. It happens, he’ll be better.

With Gonzo being downgraded to out.. as I probably expected.. I would had hoped chiz would be active on game day.. we need to give the steelers a different look.. how is westover active last few games and not chiz.. line he and pop up in some formations.. I'm intrigued to see what he can do..

I was too.. LOL.. as i expected Gonzo is downgraded to out. Probably wise to do this.. I say he plays next week the Panthers game... can we hold Rodgers to 300.. at least.. this is the bombs away secondary without gonzo..

I dunno. White has sucked so far this year.
But the starting front 4 has obviously been the strength of the D.
I knew Barmore would be great and Willisms at least good - but Landry and Chaisson have been way better than I expected out of the gate. Both exceptional so far.
Yeah, I'd love to see White finally put it all together. But I'm skeptical.

Let's have a little patience but he's got to start at least getting on pace with his fist 2 years. Obviously we were hoping for him to take a leap too.

There's a lot of moving parts and the way things fit in a few weeks may not be the same as the first 2 weeks (for better or worse for Pop).

Well THIS is a game to record and watch a few times. I'm going to want to see how they go about defending Pittsburg. Almost no blitz pressure last week, to...

Just for grins, I think I do several combo man/zone concepts. Rodgers will definitely give Medcalf a few deep 50-50 balls over the course of the game (a few being at least 3 and probably more) Giving someone a man underneath with help over the top can be every effective when your opponent is more talented than you.

You can do things like putting Davis one on one on their 2nd best receiver and shut him down and doubling Medcalf

You can stick Mapu man on their TE and or let him float in the middle robbing crossing patterns.

SO much fun just thinking these up while I imagine the creative possibilities. Imaging the detail and complexity of what they've been doing all week.

One last thing. What do old QB's hate the most as they fade into the sunset (even very good ones), they hate pressure up the middle. I've it had been my job, I would have been thinking about all the various ways I can create inside pressure. Twists, stunts, LB blitz's . I'd go back into my library of Rex Ryan's old zone blitz catalog for some of his looks. I want Rogers to be FEELING that inside pressure, long before the snap.

Remember the gerneral team and offensive operation the past 2 years. Hard for anyone to succeed amongst that dumpster fire. I agree the leash is getting shorter, but I think he deserves more time.
