Agree. Whats he gonna do? Fine them for not wanting to play?
The players will play. The reality is if they don't they lose a game check and the chance at hitting incentives, etc.
There is nothing wrong with having a teammate's health in their thoughts and prayers and at the same time playing games, doing their jobs and providing for their families.
They’ll probably get together (NFLPA and NFL) and decide when to play. Throwing fines around if players aren’t ready would be a bad look.Agree. Whats he gonna do? Fine them for not wanting to play?

Yes. Sorry. Was referring to any future games (like vs NE) and as I mentioned the incentives concerns. They will already get their game checks because the game started last night. Nothing is going to stop that. If the NFL were to try and withhold them, the NFLPA will have a lawsuit in front of Judge Doty before the league finishes the announcement because it would be a violation of the CBA.
What did he say?Watching Skip and Shannon today, and Shannon is not on the show. I wonder if he took issue with Skip's comments last night and refused to work with him today...Skip is definitely not his usual self.
If Shannon Sharpe is upset about it, probably something logical and rationalWhat did he say?
The Twitter mob went after him for this...

At this point, I don't think they really have a say here.I can't imagine the ownership is just going to give up a gate like that.
so true, so sick at the mob determining how everyone should think and what they can and can't say.Yeah it really wasn't that bad. And the last sentence was obviously meant to buffer it. He was just being rational while the "correct" response was to just be sad and act like you have to put literally everything else aside and just pray or something. You can be sad and think at the same time. I mean, the NFL lost hundreds of millions of dollars last night. That's not something you can just ignore (no matter how much I hate Goodell and Troy Vincent and company, there are horrible injuries every week in the NFL and players are professional, push aside their feelings, and keep playing -- they've been doing it their whole lives).
Everyone saying "The only thing we can be thinking about now is the player" and I was like "That's bs and you know it and you are a crappy actor"
Obligatory -- obviously I hope he's ok.
Are you implying they should have continued the game? That's crazy. Sorry if I misunderstood.Yeah it really wasn't that bad. And the last sentence was obviously meant to buffer it. It's a logical question and one I'm sure many people were wondering. I just think people hate Skip and will look for anything to get upset at him about.I see nothing wrong with that tweet. He's questioning how the NFL could make the schedule work basically. People need to chill and stop looking for things to be offended about. It's sickening.
I think the problem is that most of this discourse on Twitter is held by people who appear to do nothing in their lives except use Twitter.Yeah it really wasn't that bad.
