All you needed to do was defend the sidelines. How on Earth you let a guy be that wide open is insane

That wasn’t a choke, that was terrible coaching.

Why would you kneel and kick a field goal (to go up 2), instead of scoring the touchdown?

Why wouldn’t you make Miami drive 75 yards for a TD to win, instead of 35 yards for a field goal.

Why Gruden? Why?
This too. Now they look like clowns for not taking more points

If I'm Bill, I give Fitzpatrick 2 years, 50 big ones, all guaranteed. Re-sign Scam as backup.

I didn't understand not going for the TD either. I was like take the 7 and go home. That missed extra point also came back to bite them in the ass

That was legendary. Fitzpatrick couldn’t even see where he was throwing. Dolphins outta ride Fitzy out. He gives them a higher ceiling than Tua.
That was a hell of a throw while getting your head turned

Could Miami actually win a road playoff game this year? I could see them going up to a cold climate and shocking someone. They’ll have to beat Buffalo on the road, a really tough one, just to get in I think. Baltimore has two pretty easy opponents left

If Fitzy somehow pulls a SB win outta his ass, it’d be the most wholesome moment in NFL history. Hope he gets to finally play in the playoffs.
I would be ok with that. As long as the Chiefs or Steelers don't win the SB I'll be happy.

makes up for the Jets giving them one.

NFL coaches doing wild $%@# like going for it on fourth down on your own side of the field and taking a knee on the goal line have really caused me to start to despise this sport. So many moronic play calls by just about every coach in the game in the last 1-2 years. Really can't stand it anymore (and I won $300+ betting on the Dolphins tonight).

'this is tough...go for the 6 point lead and defend against a TD the last 50 seconds...or go for the 2 point lead and defend against a FG by a kicker who hasn't missed?...tough one..."

It was such dumb decision.

They basicallly said "30 seconds is more valuable than you having to go down the field and get in the endzone".

He’s making 8 million this year. And you want to give him a 300% raise? Lol

And I’ve been banging the drum for fitz 2021 for some time now. But part of that appeal is the contract in which you get a solid qb on the cheap.

Buffalo likely sits their starters that game, so probably not too tough.

It's way more complicated than that.

Team / Record / Remaing / H2H wins / Conf Record
Buffalo / 11-3 / @NE, Mia / Pitt / 4-2
Pittsburgh / 11-3 / Ind, @Cle / Cle, Ten / 4-1
Titans / 10-4 / @GB, @Hou / Buff / 3-3
Browns / 10-4 / @NJ, Pitt / Tenn / 4-1
Indy / 10-4 / @Pitt, @Jac / No H2H / 3-2

There's a good chance that Buffalo may need that game even if they beat the Pats. It all depends on the other games.

If the Browns go 11-5 and miss the playoffs in a 7 team format, I will feel physically sick for them.
If Miami loses to go to 10-6 then Cleveland would get in with Baltimore, unless the Ratbirds lose to either the Giants or Bengals, which is doubtful.

I take it if Miami and Baltimore win out the Browns are out?

Miami might win next week though. In which the scenario would happen.

Well not if the Browns won out. Also if Indy loses one or if Tennessee loses out Browns could still get in at 11-5.

A 10 or 11 win team in the AFC will miss the playoffs, while the four NFC East teams try to see who can lose the most games and still host a Wild Card game.
