This is where we gather to follow things on Game Day. Obviously, emotions tend to be high so if anyone gets a little crazy, the use of the “Mute” button is encouraged on anyone who may be annoying to you to control your experience and to allow the moderators to also enjoy the game.
At the same time, please take a deep breath before over-reacting for the sake of making this a pleasant experience for everyone.
Lastly, we have never allowed promoting the use of any illegal streaming. This is illegal and will be enforced by copyright holders, which puts this site at risk. DO NOT POST ANY LINKS to those platforms.
This also means, there absolutely cannot be any mention these platforms, spaces, special characters, etc. - so do not get creative in trying to work around this request.
If you do you will have your account suspended.
I do not have the means to deal with legal issues and have already been contacted previously, so this absolutely needs to be adhered to. If you see any illegal links, please report them so a mod can remove them.
Once again - it immaterial the fact that contact occurred - the issue is making the refs determine WHO initiated it as the rules vary VASTLY based on that interpretive decision in a nano-second of evidence sometimes from over 10-20 yards away.
Gotta disagree, the rule is the rule, 1 yard for the offensive players and five for the defender. Granted it could have been a non-call but since it was within 5 yards it would never get called on the defensive player. Everyone wants to make it like the Pats are getting screwed, lots of players are getting screwed on lots of teams.
I disagree. He's not Edelman, he's an average punt returner. Other punt returners also have a few big returns. Compare career punt returns for TD between them

It also matters how close to the LOS the contact happened. And in the case of Martin, even if he initiated the contact, it was initiated within 1 yard of the LOS..
You mean like the idiots announcing this game? there's either a rule that the offensive player can't touch the guy standing one yard from him, or there isn't.

I agree it is a call the refs have to make but within five yards it is never defensive pass interferance, also it is a point of emphasis for the NFL this year. Most OPI's ever called in a year. But it looked like to me, after watching the replay like 10 time our guys put his hands out and hit the defender.
I get folks won't always agree but by the written rule is was a penalty, I certainly think it is a BS rule but it is a rule.
