Yes as I was just saying WR trades have been commonplace now. I'm starting to lean more towards us getting a guy like DJ Reed by trade instead of FA.. look at Diggs and adams for example! I'd say that 3rd for judon for Reed?
That DJ Reed below or you mean DJ Moore??

I was also confused by dj reed. Wondering why we would trade 3rd for reed.

Maybe just open the bank for Higgins with close to 6 million tied to play times. He should be around 28 million I believe with his injury history .

Speaking of CB.. my real fan wish list is either Alexander or Sneed at CB to partner with gonzo and really lock down offenses.. I'm tired of watching little engine that could Jones and roller skate pass interference marco wilson..

Yes my error DJ Moore not reed. My assessment was offering the 3rd for judon for Moore? Love tee Higgins but the injuries concern me.. Drake will only have him for half a season because he's always dealing with something..

Think we can all agree watching Brissett play and maye play is HUGE differences. I give Brissett credit for taking care of the ball, and taking the hits.. but he offered no threat to defenses.

It's what we all knew. Brissett plays safely but provides no benefit to an offense, he relies on skill players to be better than opponent.
Maye has the extra physical traits to make up for the Pats definite lack of skill players.

Maye is doing it with #3 - 4 and 5 WRs. Imagine him with a legit #1 or 2.

How is their pass rush ? No major talent there right. I am hoping our Oline can handle them.

Have a feeling it might be a shootout .

Their defensive line and linebackers are pretty good. They held the Dolphins to 70 yds rushing. They've got multiple pieces that can work it seems. Nothing to write home about, but it's certainly not their weakness.

Their secondary is rough. It could be a pretty good test for Maye. What can he do against a defense that can stop the run and create pressure, but is weak against the pass?

From another article (Rams loss in Week 10 highlights the developing needs for the 2025 NFL Draft)

"For example, the Rams secondary is overflowing with solid safety talent. But the team has struggled to find worthwhile players at the cornerback position."

They allow 4.3 yds/per rush, good for #8 on the league.

They allow 8.4 yds/per pass, good for #31.

They're are decent in the red zone, allowing scores in 51.61% of plays, good for #12 in the league.

I predict low scoring on both sides unless Maye gives them some turnovers.

This is based off of quick research, though. I'm sure there's more thoughtful insight from people who've watched them more closely. I haven't watched **** from them.

Just in time for the "playoff" push
I know it's silly, but Barmore coming back healthy could be just the thing this team needs to push them into being an over .500 team. The DL has been a weakness but has been improving, and getting an elite DT like Barmore plugged back in would be huge. That puts more pressure on the other offense which lets the DBs make more plays, and takes some of the pressure off the LBs. They're adding Ngakoue also.

If you simultaneously get some steady offensive improvement, through Maye improving his game, AVP seemingly just getting a little better at his job weekly, and the young WRs slowly improving, that can cumulatively create a team that goes 4-2 in the next 6 games. Let's say they beat the Rams, Colts, Cardinals and Chargers, and lose to the Dolphins and Bills. That puts them at 7-9 going into the final week possibly facing a "win and you're in" game for the 7th seed depending on how things shake out, against the Bills in Foxboro, who could very well be resting starters.

Barmore practicing this week would be huge

IF he's close this week he' definitely practicing next week. Our Run Defense would be so much better. Really really hope we win this week we could make things very interesting going forward.

IF our Young WR's start contributing ie.. Polk and Baker we'll be in business. IF our Patchwork OL can keep Maye Upright we have a chance in every game.

Looking forward to Maye bringing this to the game.

I can recall only one instance really where Maye should've slid instead of continuing forward... The other hits he took were more the result of moving around the pocket or being caught from behind, etc... I think this not-sliding thing is being blown a bit out of proportion.
