Will post the updated FOX early map when the TBA are filled in.

FOX Late map clearly shows what Goodell's NFL is. Would rather have the game that could be 45-42 be the game of the week than the #1 and #2 teams in the NFC which could end with the score being 20-17 because both play good defense.

Yeah, that's dumb to show SF vs NYG. Potentially two teams that won't make the playoffs. I guess there are a decent amount of Giants fans in the area though...on the other hand they probably gave up on the season a while ago

ugh why do we get stuck with Denver. It has to be the worst game of all of them this sunday

Agreed. But I guess the logic is that there a lot of Giants fans in New England, so they just blanket the area, even though real fans want to watch the Seattle/KC game, which should be a good one with meaning.

Good news, though, is that we mostly all get to see the best game (during the day) on Sunday, Eagles @ Pakcers.

I wonder if either the Boston or Providence CBS station will request to opt out from the network's decision to show the main non-rooting-interest game (Broncos at Rams), and request a change to Cleveland-Houston - as that would be a game between two former Patriot quarterbacks.

Philly-Green Bay was originally supposed to be an early game, but the networks and NFL apparently got cold feet with the idea of two strong defenses playing each other as the national game - even though they have the two best records in the NFC. As mentioned above, lots of points trumps strong defenses.

As far as showing the Giants in New England because once upon a time New England was Giants territory, it's well past time to put that logic to rest. The people who were Giants fans from before the merger or before there was an AFL are for the most part now six feet under. Just show the best game, not the one with the next closest team.

But if they're doing this to (presumably) cater to fantasy football players, why didn't they just put the Packers-Eagles on the original schedule as a late game?

I shall be watching the Giants game on the TV here in New York... for whatever reason...

...and the Cleveland-Houston game via some less than reputable offshore streaming website.
Let the popups and attempted malware downloads be damned!!!! Full speed ahead!!!

Boston FOX affiliate has switched to Seattle/KC

So I'm getting Broncos/Rams, Falcons/Panthers, and Eagles/Packers. At least one of those games will be somewhat entertaining...

Intial guess, FOX kept it open because it really wanted SF/NYG but also considered Sea/KC and Phil/GB. But wanted to be safe and set all 3 games for 1PM ET starts that way there was no game being flexed out of 4PM, only a game being flexed in.

Utter joke that Arizona/Detroit is not the national game. #1 and #2 seeds in the NFC and it is a "certain markets only" game? Joke.
