Glad I'm not the only one...I'll take Joe and Evan and The Godfather everyday of the week and twice on sundays over WEEI.

I've been trying to get into Boston sports radio more this season and at least for me it is just annoying. Pats can do no wrong type of crap.

That being said I remember listening to the Fan in the late 80's as a young kid in my fathers car, so it's what I'm used to.

Pats can do no wrong crap? What radio station you listening to?

She has gradually gown more annoying as time has gone on. She tries to make points that just don't hold up and is becoming more and more defensive.

Just take a handful of guys/gals from here and it would be the premminent talk radio show in the region.

Actually I hear quite the opposite on Boston radio....it's Pats do EVERYTHING wrong. Now I'm not saying homer 247 radio is where it's at either, but if I'm a fan of the team I don't want to hear them being trashed for every little thing they do. I think a good balance is needed; have someone with an educated opinion about the team and have someone who can balance it out without insulting the very people who consume the show, the fans.

I have to take my car in to the dealer. Whenever Spaz is talking, the speakers have this high-pitched, ear-piercing, brain-swelling hiss. The guys at the Sears Auto Center told me the best thing to do was to buy a tent and a roof rack. I don't understand what they were thinking.

When she first got here she wasn't like that. She was bubbly and likeable.

She's been totally corrupted into thinking she needs to be sucessful in this town by taking these flimsy, brainless contrarian positions.

I live in metro New York (Long Guyland). WFAN dominates sports talk here, and is hands down more actual-sports-oriented with waaaaay less (if any) hot-takes-steaming-pile-of-anti-home-team-crap morons. I can listen to that station talk New York sports (!) FAR longer than I can tolerate the yucksters on either 98.5 or WEEI (with a few exceptions).

That IMHO is just wrong.

It's pretty sad. I used to be a regular listener to sports talk (mostly D&C on weei) but it's all unbearable now. I think the real problems started to appear when they went to a 3rd person. Even a decent 3rd person is too much, but the dipsticks we get now are by no stretch decent. This guy Minihan is the most obnoxious jerk I've ever heard. I used to try to work through it but I'm done. I've had enough.

OT: I was on LI twice in my life, 40 years ago and 20 years ago. The traffic was horrible the last time I was there.

Sad but true.

I remember complaining to a couple of people in the sports business a couple of years ago about the way Boston sports doesn't cover anything that happens outside of Route 128 0r 495. Now I long for those days.

Unfortunately it seems like the formula is to appeal to the lowest common denominator by always ripping situations and people in a contrarian manner. It's not unlike click-bait on the internet. While I don't want the media to be homers, I would like them to analyze things in an intelligent manner. I enjoy listening and watching people like Matt Chatham, Chris Price, Dan Koppen and Mike Flynn who bring an intelligence and depth to the conversation.
