Lol I just think all those that were ready to trash Mayo need to think before they spew all that hate without any evidence. But in a way I'm glad they did because it says a lot about their character.
I just feel as a leader of a football team he wasn’t ready, the team was underprepared and every player aside from Gonzalez regressed,
The press conferences and the weird statements and lack of care show me he wasn’t ready.

Not saying he’s a bad position coach person or manager.
The fact him and Kraft went behind Belichicks back is crap.

Only hire I’m legit unhappy with is Duron Mayo remaining S&C coach.

Team has been soft, weak, and injured frequently for two years.

Plus I want the word “Mayo” banned from the facility.

I don’t care…

You want condiments on your sandwich?

We have mustard in 5 varieties.

You want Guerrero?

I'm curious at the circumstances that have led him to leave his last 3 stops for lateral moves. I'll drink the koolaid but definitely putting a pin on that.
He took personal leave of absence before the 2023 season and missed the entire season. I am also curious about that.

I find it interesting that the have an OL coach and also TWO assistant OL coaches. That’s a lot of money tied up in OL coaching… Plus apparently Dante coming and advising sometimes… maybe they think with a ton of eyes and attention they’ll be able to coach up some lesser prospects, or unlock the potential of guys they already have (Wallace, Robinson, Sow)

McDermott lost a lot of points with me vs KC. Clock mgt. Not overruling the play calling. Cook only getting 16 touches.

I don't think Vrabes makes those mistakes.

Going for the 2-point conversion at the end of the half... One of the Stupidest decisions of All Time.

Hey look…Tommy rarely missed a game. Those rubdowns must have been legendary.

My fav was actually woicek
I was joking around.

We probably should have just gone with Brian McDonough if he's next in line.

They had 3 last year. Kugler was one assistant as was the guy who went to Cincy with Peters. The line coaching was a mess last year. As I kept telling a friend during the season, linemen should at least be a speed bump not a turnstile. No matter how bad they are they should at least get in the way, and way too often last season the coaches couldn’t prepare to even get in the way.

This goes to show you that they know the OL was an issue in 24' and they are doing something to rectify it. I'm very surprised and very excited AND GLAD that Scar will be helping out. I wonder what was said to scar to get him to come back and who said it....hmmmmm...

"...Todd Downing was a big hire..."

Ex-squeeze me?

Honestly never heard his name till coming here and probably never would have if he didn't.

Reiss just reported that Kugler is staying put as an Asst. O-Line Coach. Where did you see that he went with Peters to Cincy?

4 former HC's on this staff, different experiences/they are bringing to the table, they all want to be here compare to last years "bottom of the barrel reluctant to be here group" is a great start.. but as always how they attract viable FA's, coach up the marginal guys and have a great draft will tell us a lot about where this team is going.
This is one of the largest coaching staffs I ever remember for the Patriots. Vrabel will have to do some work to insure they are all working together...
I like what has happened so far..

I watched Skatebo all year, he reminds me of a mini John Riggins. Like Riggins, it’s not all steam rolling. Riggins, early in his career, had good speed for some break away runs. Skatebo has that, as well as some elusiveness. I would love for the Pats to land him, has excellent hands as a receiver out of the backfield too.

Along the same line of thinking if they want their Fullback he’s there for the taking: Willie Lampkin 5’10 280 UNC. Despite his size he was named the Best Blocker in the ACC.

People should go read the reports on this kid, he’s everything you want in a football player. Hes never going to be an offensive lineman in the NFL, but he deserves a chance, and could end up a great FB. And he should be available for them.

Not quite. They had an OL Coach (Scott Peters) and an Assistant OL Coach (Robert Kugler), that’s all. Cincinnati hired Scott Peters away but not Kugler. Cincinnati also hired Michael McCarthy off of NE’s staff, but McCarthy was not an OL Coach - he was just an offensive assistant.

I’m with you on this, first hire legitimately worried about for a couple reasons. Wonder if they talked to Moses Cabrera, he seemed to do a good job here, and doesn’t appear employed elsewhere.

100%

Never been a fan of "chasing points" I know there are analytics involved but still....
